hey turns out poker chips are pretty cheap, maybe i'll buy some!
We do have poker chips. But when you play with no buy in it made it less fun. Everyone just went all in for everything.
Yet some how still managed to last over 2 hours. That was a crazy game.
I'll also second BigRed's curmudgeonly about Twitter, but if 11 comes around and I'm not doing anything else, I'll certainly come by for poker and drinking. I've also got some poker chips, but they are the cheap plastic kind.
A year+ ago twitter was fine. But now everyone is using it like it was a chat client (like irc). too much useless stuff now for me to care about so I stoped using it.

All twitter looks like to me is public text messaging. I like to keep most of my texts private ;-D

I'm not yet sure if I work on the 28th, but in case I don't, where is the FFS again? I can't remember... That sounds like a night full of epic fun, but I don't wanna drive too far. :P

You can handle setup? Ummm the way I look at it is... You guys have your bar runs.Tom (azazel) will do "offical" poker things because he thinks he is too cool for skool. And the 28 of march (Saturday) we are doing family fun center.... Afterwards my house is open and we can do multiple things (inculding cock blocking Tayror) so join the facebook event. So we can make a reservation. And say "___ people are coming we want to ride in go karts!!!!" also the ds (or dsi) is needed be sure to bring that. GOOD DAY!
There was talk a few weeks ago of see a midnight movie at The Egyptian. This week we have The Fifth Element playing and that sounds like a good movie for a bunch of geeks to see. Is anyone that will be in the Seattle area this weekend interested in seeing Gary Oldman and Bruce Willis on their respective sides of evil and good Saturday night?

Don't Forget! Happy Hour tomorrow night at the Triple Door, starting at 4PM!
Once everyone arrives and once you've all had enough of the Triple Door we can decide where, if anywhere, we want to go from there. Sound good?? Suggestions??
Hey everyone, I'm going to be performing standup comedy in Ballard next Friday (the 27th). It's a video game themed night, and I'm going to be performing my bit on video games. I'm not on the official roster, but I just contacted one of the people who runs the show.
You should come see me. Also, if anyone wants to see the bit in advanced and help me come up with a closing bit, be sure to let me know.

My wife and I are planning on coming if we find some way of handling our daughter for the period.

You might see me there... HoG 2.0 is a short walk from there.
By request, I present to you: Happy Hour v1.0! I hope everyone had a great time, and we should put something together for next month! Any requests or suggestions?? Everyone seemed to agree that two places (close together/same district) would be the best course of action. Also... I'm a fan of sushi happy hour......

Thanks for posting these Nomad. You got some great photos there.
Perhaps for a Happy Hour 2.0 we can stay with Belltown but get to Gameworks at some point. I'm not a fan of sushi, but there are plenty of places with both sushi and non-sushi food. Warm sake on the other hand is awesome and would make a fine addition to any drinking that we do.

I've been thinking about mojitos and caipirihnas all afternoon.... So I figured I was in a good state of mind to suggest the formulation of our second monthly Arcadian Happy Hour!
Possibilities:
Luau and then the Elysian Brewery, in Tangletown (between Greenlake and Wallingford)
Frontier Room and/or the Lava Lounge and/or the Umi Sake House (Sake and Sushi!!! and other stuff...), in Belltown
ummm... there's just so many options!!!!
I'll leave it up to eye-shuh to set up all that Facebook stuff.....
I love George and Dragon! It's a very fun pub, but also seemed a bit cramped from what I remember. So might not be the best for a large roudy PAX crew.

That doesn't sound so horrible...

AGREED.
well if you just wrote that memoir and handed it to the church that'd probably be equivalent to an actual confession
<j0z1e> ummmm, all three? at once?
It's in Tukwila.
Happy Hour meet-up is on March 21st at the Triple Door starting at 4pm.
Family Fun Center in Tukwila is on March 28th at 7pm - 10pm with possible shenaniganz after.

Exactly. My birthday is Monday, so the meetup Saturday is going to be a good part of my drunken birthdayness. It should be for you too Az.

It was noon, my birthday, and I was still not drunk.

However, I'm also awesomely dressed like a pirate.

I'm very interested in the next outing...
As for Fremont, I've not been to the George and Dragon, but folk have told me I ought to, as it's an English pub, and I'm English.
