im chugging alon on the art patch right now, around 60% done. I t hink if i had a better connection this would be done by now, but at the same time im sure their patch server is getting fisted right now.

Thank god I'm in the US beta, GOA has managed to clusterfuck the european side of things.
All sings point to GOA fucking up the launch too so I'm not too sad about leaving to Dublin next sunday and missing the launch. I have no clue when I'll be back, but it's at least a month so maybe things will be up and running then.
everyone is actualy fisting th rgistration servers, im at 68% and still have the audio file to download, i should prolly run to the store and get my daily provisions. hmmm, hmmm

I'd say things are going fairly smoothly for the first hour of a highly anticipated beta launch. Note - I'm not talking about the EU stuff, that's just a clusterfuck, but that also isn't Mythic's fault.

SOB, I cant decide what class to play. THey're all so badass looking, I'm not going to be messing with Borks, cause that's my main for release. But the Engineers looks ultrabadass with that hugeass wrench.

Mythic has no control over what GOA does. This stuff happened with the company that Mythic outsourced the EU portion of DAoC to as well.
Honestly, you'd be better off playing the USA version at release - just find a guildy to facilitate your purchase. Time zone differences obviously suck, but you won't have to put up with the level of nonsense GOA will provide.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the chaos magus class post 4.1 patch?
Previously I was playing it as pretty much your standard nuker - stand back and fireball fireball etc. but there seems to be a fairly large incentive to get stuck in with Glean Magic, Infernal Blast, Daemonic Maw, and Daemon Lash.
Has the patch changed the class from a defensive caster into a kind of guerilla hit and run on a medieval segway?
Magus need to constantly be on the move. I find in t1 that my most effective tactic is to skirt the flanks of the main battle line to drop a demon as a harassment tool and the instant cast AOE debuff/dot. Neither does a huge amount of damage, but the harassment of their healers/RDPS along with the annoyance of the demon does wonders for ruining the enemies day.
