While its fun to have interesting note charts and yadda yadda.... its also fun to just mash the same notes over and over again as fast as you can while shouting the lyrics to Blitzkrieg Bop, with the entire band shouting the "hey - ho! Let's go!"

I mean if I dug the song right off the bat then I'd buy it

but i don't really like the song and the boring notechart seals it

on the other hand everyone says to avoid El Scorcho like the plague and there's really no chance of me not buying it

The problem with Weezer songs is that A) Everyone likes Weezer but B) Nobody can fucking sing that high and so it ends up sounding like ass. Either they are whispering so they can hit the high notes or they are shouting off key.

Pretty much everything released on XBLA in August was awesome to some degree or another:

    Geometry Wars 2
    Braid
    Castle Crashers
    Bionic Commando Rearmed

I didn't try that fancy new Galaga actually, so that might suck

I haven't bought any Rock Band DLC in ages but I'm going to go against the grain and just say that the Disturbed pack is fun as hell

Helps if you're into the band I suppose

Seriously download the trials of both.

For Braid - ask yourself if you have a lot of ambition to keep playing those same first few levels over again - because you've only got another couple hour's worth of game from there.

For Castle Crashers - ask yourself if you are enjoying beating the shit out of enemies and would like to just get stronger and better and face harder enemies with a bunch of dudes from SE.

Get that other song in the PAX pack. Shh...., I think. It's awesome.

Also, you are required to have at least one (1) song from Screaming for Vengeance.

Okay guys, I have a problem. I live in a dorm, and we have a TV which I'm sure my room mate would let us use for some Rock Banding out.

here's the problem, all my old Rock Band stuff is back in MA, and my mom flat out refuses to ship it to me. This I understand. Having a decent amount of income I can spend on this game, I want to get the new special edition pack. New Drums, and what have you.

Here's my problem. What should I do with the old stuff back in MA? Also, what do the Cymbals do in the new game?

I think the cymbals are just optional things to hit. Like they're green or red or something and you can hit those instead of the standard pads. But I'm not 100% on that.

Yes, but I'd only be able to play with other Wii-using folks with online play I think, and most people are going to have the 360 version.

Also, how about a sig, Anjin? I just drew this avatar.

Yeah, based on the pictures they released, you just have 2 red/green buttons, and can switch it up if you're feeling cocky.

I'm looking forward to playing songs using the cymbals as you would if playing a song "for reals".

It will be that much cooler.

    Oh definitely
I mean the three songs I can ace the drums for will be so much more fun
I just realized the drums are going to be crazy on Dammit, just because the drums were crazy on the first couple blink albums
But as long as it's the version with the drum intro after the opening riff I'm cool with it

Right now these are the tracks making me want my ION drum kit the most:

    Gouge Away
    Hey
    Moving to Seattle
    Shockwave
    Working Man (Vault Edition)

If you have played them on expert drums than you would understand.

The ION kit is sold separately and comes with two cymbals which you can assign to either yellow, blue, or green. For an extra 50 bucks you can get a third cymbal.

The actual Rock Band 2 kit comes with no cymbals, but you can purchase a 30 dollar kit to get three cymbals for yellow, green, and blue.
