I mean I'd like to play The Joker just because come on it's The Joker
Same with Hotel California and Crazy Train
But not so much that I want the rest of that game

    Dude it's in the OP
I think that was the first thing I jerked off over
Just because it's gonna be hella fun to play
Also I read something about a mode explicitly made for people who want to sing and play guitar at the same time
I want to see what this will entail
If I'll be able to like turn on some secondary option and plug my headset into the guitar and rock the fuck out

Scream Aim Fire would probably be pretty fun to play.
But once again, that set list is most definitely not worth it.
And as much as I like Tool, playing through their songs would probably put me asleep.

Yep, all the instruments will be cross compatible I believe

Apparently the 5 drum lines in GHWT will compress into 4 so it's playable on RB drums

Not sure how it works if you've got RB2 drums with the cymbal addon

Rock Band 2's cymbal add-on only gives secondary yellow, blue, and green options. It's just like if you were hitting the Y, X, or A face buttons, so World Tour charts will still compress down to four lanes.

The software has the capability of determing whether you hit the cymbal or the pad

In fills and in freeplay mode, RB2 will play different things on the blue cymbal compared to the blue pad

So it's possible World Tour could take advantage of that and use one of the cymbals as the 5th lane

And when I can use the RB guitar on 360 I will download Death Magnetic.

Hopefully, there will be a version for lefties with Red replacing Green, right ? It would be pretty ridiculous to have my snare on a cymbal...

There has always been an option to perform the "lefty flip" and reverse the order of colors being shown (for guitar anyway). So I assume that for drums instead of snare being on the far left it's on the far right, etc.

Although if it isn't that's GOD's way of punishing you for being left handed.

The ION kit is sold separately and comes with two cymbals which you can assign to either yellow, blue, or green. For an extra 50 bucks you can get a third cymbal.

The actual Rock Band 2 kit comes with no cymbals, but you can purchase a 30 dollar kit to get three cymbals for yellow, green, and blue.

    Oh fuck that then
I'll just get the thirty buck one

The guy who designed the drum section of Rock Band told me that once you play the ION drums, the stock RB2 drums just feel like a toy in comparison.

Plus the ION pads connect to the XBOX 360 with quarter inch plugs so you can hook them into a midi drum module and use them as regular old electronic drums.

I was disappointed that the GHWT setlist was so short at PAX. You couldn't bring the full version? Really? Its nice there was nice there was four stations to play on, but Rock Band 2 had its full setlist, plus ALL the Rock Band tracks available.

I just got my Rock Band 2 drums and they are a significant improvement over the old ones. Much bouncier heads and they feel way more responsive than my previous set.

If you didn't know, the drum peripherals were shipped on the 10th so your local gamestop may have them.
