Champions is just COH played like WOW. Ver' disappointing.
Er...? COH/V is much more like WoW than Champions is supposed to be. Not just in terms of character creation, but in terms of how it actually plays as well.
I'd think about rejoining CoV, but I don't have a windows computer any more, and I wasn't going to get one until just before Fallout 3.

I kind of want to start playing this again. I still have a lvl 36 robotics mastermind kicking around I believe. Though I'd have to redo all my mastermind keyboard macros.

You could probably take over the Social Entropy supergroup. I don't think many Allegory members fool with it. You got to find someone who can get you in though. This is a pointless statement if you're not on Virtue.

There's nothing wrong with Powers Allegory or Affliction.
My favorite part of this game was early levels, a Fire/Traps blaster, gathering a huge mob of weak thugs after me, throwing caltrops at the corner of a building and then hiding behind it. They'd all pour around the corner and I'd unleash a very overpowered fireball + a rain of fire and kill about 30 mobs in one pull..
I always made an Energy/Storm summoning defender, I don't know why, but every time i played at some point i'd stop playing my current character just to roll as that.

That stopped working after like level 14.
Fire/ Blasters are one of the strongest toons to roll. In later levels you will destroy large groups with Aim+Build Up, Fireball>Firebreath. With recharge bonuses from IOs and Hasten you can get to a point where all you need is Fireball, Firebreath, Blaze and Fireblast. Everything else is filler. Fire is a low resisted element as well. Plus it has all the DoT.

Storm/Electric is a better theme overall, but Elec sucks nuts IMO. Not that any Defender secondary is strong in their hands though.
