Sounds to me like we're all BLU and looking for the RED interlopers in our midst... I don't think it's a faction game.
Its weird that its called Red vs Blue, and warban labeled it as pretty straight forward. And when you consider the source material..it wasn't like that Halo game (where one guy has the skull).
Than again the Transformers phalla ended up really lop sided when it did the factions thing.
The OP also talks about how Players are working to help BLU... I really don't think this is a faction game at all. I think it's more vanilla/straightforward like the OP says:

All classes with have some power sort. But in the end only one side will win.
