Just bought an Xbox 360, now I need games...

Thread title pretty much says it all. I just bought an XBox 360 out of being out of the console market for a long time (since the Sega 32x, and I don't really count my Wii). Now, I need games. I have no idea what the killer games on Xbox are aside from household names like GTA, Madden and Halo. I want to get five games, and I'm not sure what to buy.

I've gotten Mass Effect and GTA4 off of Ebay. I'm not going to get Bioshock or Gears, as my friend has them and I can borrow them. Now, I need to figure out three games to get.

Difficulty: It would be best if they weren't also available on PC.

Dead Rising is also a great game if you like the prospect of smashing zombies faces in with a plastic lightsaber. You should definitely check out some of the arcade games as well. Stuff like Geometry Wars 2 and Bionic Commando are well worth the M$ points.

If I may just throw out the casual suggestion of Rock Band or Rock Band 2, which is coming out soon.
Besides that, go for some Xbox Live Points and buy some XBLA games. Plenty in that area. Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid, Ikaruga, the list is huge.

Call of Duty 4, Oblivion, Rock Band. There's like 3 or 4 months worth of play time.

If you get Call of Duty 4 - dont bother with Halo. COD is just so superior, I couldnt get into halo 3 after playing COD4 1st.

I'm going to third XBLA titles. The quality of some of that stuff is fantastic. Have a look at Geometry Wars 2 and Braid particularly.

Yeah, this looks like gold. Thanks for the suggestions everyone (and I have Orange Box for the PC). As soon as this HD comes tomorrow, I'm going to see what this castle crashers is all about.

Braid and Castle Crashers are must haves. Absolutely must haves. Penny Arcade Adventures is also good, but it's mechanics are a little rough around the edges.

Kameo is a decent adventure game that's like $10 now. Eternal Sonata is standard fare JRPG, but has absolutely gorgeous artwork.

The other titles I have are Dead Rising, Forza 2, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Rock Band and Viva Pinata. If you like open ended sandboxy type games in the vein of The Sims, Viva Pinata is all adorable and fun.
