In the vain of the shitty (great?) game music thread, I thought I go ahead and make a thread on game intros. Whether it be hot shit or actual shit is up to you guys. Let's keep it constrained to the first video shown when booting up the game or at start of the game.

I think my personal favourites are "Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa transit system.." and "Rise and shine, Doctor Freeman. Rise and.. shine"

edit: OH OH OH, just thought of a recent addition to that. Mass Effect. From the moment you finish making your dude and the intro starts, I was enthralled. The music, the visuals.. all outstanding stuff.

I'm going to say Metal Gear Solid 2 off the top of my head. Not the "starting a new game intro" but like when you turn the game on, that cinematic. Awesome music, tension and drama. Loved it. I'll think of some more and post them when I get out of work. WoW:BC had a good one too.

MechWarrior 2 is definately the FIRST thing I thought of when I saw the thread title. I was going to dig it out myself if you didn't (can't see the vid from work).

WHERE ARE OUR MECH GAMES????
I actually liked Chrome Hounds, but wish it had a single player, and more balance, but what have we had since then? Armored Core games just don't count for me. They don't feel mech at all. It needs to be big, lumbering and fire HUGE guns that can stagger and blow up other huge and lumbering things.

I so wish I lived in an alternate universe where Steel Battallion took off and sold like hotcakes and mech games became as common as JRPGs.

It was so bad that the developers hid it, and you had to enter a code at the startup screen just to see it. And I can't even find video of it. It's so bad you guys.
