THIS THREAD IS ABOUT KUNG FU MOVIES OR MOVIES FEATURING OTHER MARTIAL ARTS

So I just watched Police Story for the first time

Jackie Chan breaks a lot of glass in that movie

More specifically, he breaks a lot of people through glass

It's awesome

I haven't seen many Kung Fu movies, nor have I liked most of the ones I've seen, but Kun Fu Hustle was pretty fun.

There is a movie Jackie Chan made called Dragons Forever where he teamed up one last time with his two buddies from the chinese drama academy

The final fight in that movie is so incredible I can't even articulate it, and as far as I know it's never really been released in North America

Seriously, look at the falls these guys take. That's gotta fuckin' hurt

And there's more! Jackie Chan fights some guy named Benny the Jet who is like super fast holy christ

I really love how the bad guy is basically a Chinese Groucho Marx. Fucker never lets go of that cigar

It's probably my favorite Kung Fu movie. They released a new DVD of it last year. It has commentary from the RZA on it.

Kung Pow for me is a movie that I can't help but quote to a ridiculous degree (almost every fucking line in that movie. Not even the jokes), but I don't actually find the majority of it funny. Infact, it's quite dumb.

Edit: Actually I probably found it hilarious when I first saw it forever ago, and then it got quoted so much that the jokes are all lost on me now. Oh well.

One thing that I like about it, is how Kung Pow is sort of like taking Mystery Science Theater 3000 to the level where you're actually changing lines in the film into random comedy.

oh fuck, it's coming out in 2010.

The Chosen One (Steve Oedekerk) returns to be dubbed once again in this announced sequel that will feature Steve Oedekerk in another kung-fu flick dubbed over with Steve Oedekerk's voice for all the characters.
