i just watched the pilot of this, it looks SUPER RAD
here's what IMDB has to say bout it
A television drama centered around a female FBI agent who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist in order to rationalize a brewing storm of unexplained phenomena.
pretty lame, right? it's weird how log lines suck all the fun out of cinema.
basically, the dude who makes LOST is now making an X-Files type show, wherein a FBI agent works with the modern Dr. Frankenstein to solve mysteries of the occult and pay off her love interest's gambling debts.
I had
no idea JJ Abrams was attached to this when I watched it, so I was doubly impressed when the pilot was well put-together, with interesting chemistry between the leads and a pretty damn compelling plot.
has anyone else seen it? if not,
there's a pilot redux this Sunday at 8 pm EST
the show will run tuesdays at 9. hopefully it won't suck/be cancelled after the first season.

There better not be any "We only use 10% of our brain the rest is for mutant powers crap" in it.
I made a TD for iphone and windows phone!
The mad scientist guy is like 80% Peter Lorre. How can you not love that?
I'm so impressed with this show I'm using capitalization and punctuation!
unfortunately I always end up enjoying jj abrams's shit for at least one season
i'm just excited to get a new version of the x-files, i'm probably the biggest x-files nerd on here who isn't named mully
But I'll give this a shot because I dig the shit out of the X-Files and the whole "modern day Frankenstein" premise
I may check it out.
you may think you saw something other than the planet venus, but i assure you....
it was venus.
what I saw
I've also never seen anything else of Abrams, so I'm going in strictly with 'this looked pretty X-Files'ish to me' hopes.
Shit I guess I'll just catch it on Sunday then.
Orik, as an X-Files fan, you recommend this, yes?
Between this and Terminator and 24 in the winter FOX has a decent set of shows for me to watch.
No other object has been misidentified as a flying saucer as often as the planet Venus.
If/when this show creates a big conspiracy, they don't have occasional episodes devoted to it, but instead you get a little bit every episode
That drove me nuts with X-Files

Yet you somehow brazenly declare seeing is believing?
but it's been proven he only saw the planet venus.
I'm like the worst nerd ever.
Also the follow-up one with Hose Chung and the L. Ron Hubbard-type character was great.

You.. You can't threaten me.
Go downtown and turn in your communicator
(Seriously though, Pooro, what the hell? Did you not watch just to spite us?)

And the other one, the tall lanky one, his face was so blank and expressionless. He didn't seem human. I think he was a mandroid.

I have got to find some episodes on DVD. Which season was that?

season 3. best buy seems to have them for cheap, because the movie was just released.
My mom hated sci-fi, so I never got to watch 'em when they were running. And by the time I was out on my own, there was just this huge backlog of episodes. I couldn't be buggered.
