The scariest episode of the X-Files is the one about the legless Indian dude who rolled around on a little skateboard and crawled up people's assholes to possess them
If you were on a lot of LSD in a sensory deprivation tank
That is not what it would be like
that's my only real gripe with the pilot, especially since there was no effects of the LSD after she got dragged out of the tank
i was really hoping she'd be permanently fucked from the drugs
Yeah, that bugged the hell out of me
They pull her out and she's all "boy howdy", when really, she should've been all "get your fucking tentacles off me oh christ have you always had a nose that big"
The one with the guy who thought his boss was a demon
My friend decided we would watch that one during our "marathon" and she points it out to me on the box
So I read the description
"I don't get it" "What?" "What's so spooky about that, I'm pretty sure that's called just having a shitty boss"
And then he really was a demon and I was like well shit
Better go kill my manager
Watched this today and I really liked WATCHING it. I liked the way it was shot, the pace, the characters (Especially Dr. Frankenstein, some great casting and acting there.) And that woman at first I thought, hey, she's attractive but not distractingly so and she has a good strong presence. Now I can't stop fucking staring at her. The last half of the episode all I could fantasize about where the things I would---
Anyway what I DIDN'T LIKE was THINKING about it. Tthe fact that it's still TOO close to the x-files. Like, how did they pitch this without anyone saying, "Isn't that just the X-files without aliens?" I don't know, I thought they could have written it so that it wasn't so damn similar.
Also, I'm not sure how much of this Fringe Science I can stomach anymore. I used to love it but sometimes it just pisses me off. I'll probably suspend my disbelief if the show is this enjoyable in the future though.
in a better world, Hugh Laurie would have a five-year stint on Doctor Who
That would be awesome.
Fringe was really good. It worked really well as a pilot episode. It left enough questions out there. Pacey was great, and I enjoyed his father character.
House/Bones crossover is where it's at. Just picture it for a moment. I'd love to see the banter/snide remarks between House and Bones and then being followed up by House constantly making fun of Booth until he gets a gun in his face for something. Again.
I've been re-watching the X-Files from the beginning. I'd only seen the occasional episode since they originally aired, and even then I stopped watching in season five or six and missed a few. I don't know if I missed it or forgot it, but I just finished the season four finale.
Scully's in front of a formal committee, explaining how she had debunked Mulder's work. It switches between her narrating and the events themselves, they'd done a few episodes like this. Mulder found a guy who found an alien body frozen way up in the mountains of Alaska, so he goes to check it out. He compares it to proving the existence of God- the faith/skeptic thing plays big throughout. Meanwhile, Scully has some family drama and some DoD guy seeks her out. Mulder gets to the alien, but not before somebody kills several people to prevent it getting out. The perform an autopsy, and it's all legit- biological, just enough like terrestrial life to be recognized as formerly living. Scully finds Mulder, and the DoD guy informs him that it's an incredibly elaborate hoax to keep him and others like him convinced so they won't focus on the wrongdoings of the military-industrial complex (yes, he actually used that phrase), and that Scully's cancer was part of the same plot. It switches rapidly between Scully describing events and Mulder watching old tapes of scientists contemplating the possiblity of life on other planets. Scully pauses, then
"...Angent Mulder died late last night from an apparent self-inflicted gun-shot wound to the head."
That is how the series should have ended. I think I'll pretend it ends that way, even though I'm still going to watch the rest.
I don't remember how he comes back, but I remember not remembering how he'd left in the first place and my stepdad being real pissed at how half-assed it was. Something about "thanks for covering for me, Scully", or something.

The best X-Files were mostly episodic. The more they attempted to create a serious plot tying things together, the more ridiculous it all became.
There were some gems, but most of it was kind of dumb.

I was wrong about he comes back. I think he came back, like, four or five times, though. THis is already number two.
The continuity was good so long as it was just connected enough that you could tell it was meant to be connected, but loose enough you couldn't tell what the connections were. Somebody was breeding the hybrids, somebody was behind the smoking man's organization, somebody was keeping THE TRUTH just out of sight, maybe they were the same somebody, maybe there were lots of somebodies, we don't know. That was when it was good. That's still where it is at the beginning of season five. I vaguely remember things being tied together. I think it was after the movie, though.
Most of my favorite episodes are the stand-alones, though.

Home is the scariest episode.
The series got pretty shit about halfway through, though. I had hoped the first movie would fix it, but it didn't.
Is that the episode with the killer inbreds? That kept me up all fucking week after seeing that.
This show is nuts. I've already set my DVR to record the series.
My boys... I love my boys, and they love me.
[insert typical SE++ comment]
Oh god I remember.
Though I kinda liked the first movie. But it did feel like a high budget extended episode rather than something concluding or new.

I made a TD for iphone and windows phone!
for one thing, there's three of them
it's more like House, really
On the plus side, the pilot appears to be available on CTV.ca.
what really sold that concept was the floating IRAQ when the choppers fly over then it cuts to a different angle and the text is still floating there.
but I mean it looks like Word 97 wordart.
But I mean, it is inconsequential, which I guess is the point. its a title, its over in 10 seconds.
Guess what I'm watching in Hulu right now.
Dude Where's My Car?
Dies' ist mein erst' Flug.
I'M...FROM...DENVER
MAKE IT HAPPEN, FOX
...again
What was the followup with him?
That would be awesome.

Wait, I missed that bit. Which one says that?
I'm guessing the German chick. I missed most of the German and that sounds like something they'd put in in another language.
