My poor Warrior Priest had a makeover. I'm suddenly glad she'll be disappearing soon:

    makeover

While I think that healthy look to her skin is a step up, the hair and eye colors, the scars on the cheek and a haircut that emphasizes said scars aren't working in her favor. Well, at least she didn't lose an eye... or go bald. :P

My poor WP underwent a makeover too. Shame she lost her awesome hair that was up in a bun and one of the few decent faces.

Now she's a scarred up matronly hag, right on with the lore, but I wish the bug would've given her white hair too. Sisters of Battle, charge!

So was it just the WPs that got changed? I had heard about peoples' characters being changed, so I looked through all of mine last night, on both Order and Destruction, and out of all of them, only my WP looked different. He now has a SIGMAR tattoo and an eyepatch, neither of which did he have before.

In other news, I've been playing the PW+/OB all week, it's almost over, and I'm STILL not sure exactly what my main is going to be. I just tried the Marauder again last night, and suddenly I'm reconsidering all over again. I had been thinking perhaps Black Orc, but after a few scenarios and PQs that were insanely hectic (did the one where the greenies have to kill 100 dwarves before the dwarves kill 100 goblins), suddenly the step-up mechanic is showing its clumsiness... It's pretty damn hard to tell where I am in the process sometimes, and other times I'm certain that I know which stage I'm in and yet still got the 'ability failed' message.

If I do go with a tank I'm likely to stick with the Chosen. But there are so many other options.

So, Crafting...anyone else doing this? I went Scavanging/Talisman. Since you need Fragments from Magical Salvaging I haven't crafted diddly. And I have yet to see any fragments in the auction house. Anyone else seeing this trend?

but logging in won't be so that will suck butts, fatty

and in 6 months the low pop server you chose to play on will be a wasteland with 2 hour queues for scenarios because everyone rerolled on the high pop servers

^We're serious here. This happens and it sucks. You do have to put up with server queues during launch, but it is absolutely necessary for later on.

Oh man, how am I supposed to decide between an archmage and a runepriest. Archmages are more fun in first 2 tiers than runepriests but, well, they're elves. Runepriests get to be dwarfs. Female dwarfs even, since in WAR they actually have one or two faces that actually look kinda nice and females fit the priest class more than males.

I bet I'll just end up making a list six of my favorite classes and throwing a dice to tell me which one.

Zealot - Disciple - Sorceress...why must you all be so cool and fun. Two days to decide. :?

I need to at least narrow it down to two archetypes, one for each faction (and the Order counterparts are equally bad ass for each of these :x).

RVR Lakes, Keeps, and Capital Cities aren't instanced, though - I think some folks are assuming that scenarios are the be-all, end-all of the game, and they aren't.

Also, based on what Mythic did with DAoC, I'm guessing they would not hesitate to create scenerio clusters, if they become necessary. Maybe they'll be necessary, but I think more folks will be doing open field rvr.

That's the only way to do it - the boxes won't be available until....the 18th (maybe they 16th/17th, I don't know). You just need to enter a boxed serial number into your account management page by the 22nd.

World RvR works better with a high pop too though. Also how would cross server Scenarios even work? Considering they contribute to zone victory points.

Presumably, someone that's being paid to make these sort of decisions for Mythic would have an answer for this. Since I'm not, I don't.

I can see difficulty doing scenario clusters because scenario victories contribute to zone control.

So the Mythic master account page only lists support for DAOC. I fired off an email asking them about the issue for those of us that have a regular version with open beta and head start keys that got the CE edition through Gamestop yesterday but nothing yet.

Anyone work something out or did you just make a new sub account for the CE keys?

As to populations and RvR lakes... point still applies. During beta I definitely spent some time depressed because there wasn't a sufficient population to make some of the RvR lakes any fun. WAR is a game that demands a decent population on your server.

I have heard tell that you can call their customer support and get your SE attribute removed from your account. I only saw that on a few boards, though, no personal knowledge of it.

Well scenarios are on a separate server than the game world server, considering that there have been many times when the game world has crashed and people who were in a scenario are still playing, but get an error when it ends telling them they can't be ported back to the world because it's unavailable.

Yeah... I made that mistake, so I'm currently reading 3.5 gigs of my 4. Not terrible I guess. I'm just trying to decide whether I want to hazard the purchase of a xp to vista upgrade pack, or if I want to buy the entire package.

Sorry if this is an ignorant query, but why? I have a rig coming that will be running XP with 4 gigs, thus I am curious.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
