Firefox Weirdness

So I was using Opera, then google chrome, and now I've come full circle, but I've now realised why I stopped using firefox; Flash loads then stops sometimes, and any image-only pages do not load, and tell me the image contains errors.

Any idea what i can do?

    The flash error is a problem with Flash Player 9. I'm using 10 Beta, but that has it's own set of issues. It loads fine every time...but sites like CNN and ESPN are like "You're currently using an out of date version of Flash, please upgrade to 8 or later."

    I've seen a few people get that error in firefox and IE. Sometimes you can fix it by going to www.adobe.com and downloading flash directly even though you already have it.

    I've tried reinstalling flash, but without a great deal of success. I'll try it again...
