Every time a beta patch occurs you can tell the people who are there for fun because they're the ones who freak the fuck out on the forums while the people who are treating the beta test like an actual test are trying to get them to calm the fuck down lest the developers who have had unprecidented amounts of interaction with the players and have in many cases directly implemented their ideas will pack up and leave because of all of the bullshit. But at least the developers are still taking it in stride:
    Very useful feedback:
"Hey, we did some math here and based on talents, gear and what we know about gems and enchants, it looks like paladins can't be uncrittable by Naxx. Is this intended?"

    Less useful feedback:
"Warrior mitigation has been better than paladin mitigation for the last 4 patches. Why doesn't Blizzard fix that? I'm starting to think they won't."

    Not terribly useful feedback:
"Because paladins can't be uncrittable by Naxx, it's clear Blizzard has no design for the class and doesn't understand how paladins work. We'll never get to tank anything. Meanwhile, warriors have the most awesome ability that we are denied out of spite."

Ghostcrawler fills the coffee mug with gin:
"I've waited for 16 months for a blue response to my demand for an explanation of why paladins don't work the way I think they should. And yet on my 35-page dissertation on why this one quest in Eastern Plaguelands would be so easy for my class if you made all of the 28 changes I require, and which I bump every day for great justice, I finally got a blue poster who made a poor attempt at humor and it Greatly Offended me. Now I'm going to troll and reroll because if I'm miserable I want everyone else to be too."

Interesting, it looks like gear specifically designed for levelling alts. Just throw it to an alt and they get an xp buff while simultaneously not having to worry about upgrading their gear ever.

Five bucks says they'll give these away for free to "Recruit a friend" players.

I don't know about "free" but I definitely think the concept was created with RaF players in mind. Apparently one of the biggest problems with levelling so quickly is that you outgrow equipment obscenely fast, especially if you don't bother farming instances. Running around with weapons/armor many levels below you causes gameplay problems, and probably isn't very much fun if you truly are the "friend" who's new to the game.

My guess is that they'll have nice BoA (bind on account) gear that can be purchased for a hefty sum via badges, which is primarily meant for gamers who want to level alts. Then they'll have lower quality versions that's much cheaper (or maybe even free) that function much the same way, only with reduced stats. So once you hit the level cap, or perhaps get lucky in an instance along the way there, you can swap out the gear.

Actually a lot of people are looking at a 38/0/33 build. It gets you instant cast HoL. You don't get the spell power bonus from Holy Guidance (well you can get one point) but you do get JotW. With a 12k mana pool that works out to 300 mp/5 if you judge every cool down.

It's sad to see people on Windrunner of the horde asking to smelt that WHEN NO ONE has been to sunwell

I really do hope Blizzard fixes Windrunner having two guilds in BT for the horde and 20+ for the alliance is quite annoying

    "The Fall of Humanity": removed

We'll be trying out a new Human racial in its place...

"Every Man for Himself": Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character. This effect shares a cooldown with other similar effects.

So humans get a free PVP trinket that doesn't take a trinket slot and Diplomacy? God damn. I don't know why you'd roll anything else on Alliance.

A nice ability for sure, but god, who is in charge of naming this shit? Just call it Unbreakable Will or Indominable Spirit or something. "Every Man For Himself" just sounds ridiculous.

They need to fix the whole "no skin on the elbows/knees" thing with the undead. Bones poking through - fine, I can deal with that. But having all of their armor be tattered rags no matter what class you play is annoying.

A vanish where you can't move and the stealth fucking sucks and on a 3 minute cooldown, yes.

Don't get too used to it though, this is beta! The next build will feature three significant changes to racials.

    "The Fall of Humanity": removed

also, a significant change to Shadowmeld...

Yes, it can be used in combat. Yes, the effect is very similar to what was previously "The Fall of Humanity". The cooldown is 3 min.

Hmm, shadowmeld just got a pretty significant buff for pve at the cost of pvp, so in essence, awesome!

Every man for himself seems weird though. WoTF is now a one time break of charm and fear right? It doesn't confer immunity? So it would seem as if EMFH would be very similar to, and absolutely better, than WoTF.

I know that the nerf bat hit everyone, but I didn't think shadowpriests needed it that bad.
    Shadow

    * Dispersion now reduces all damage taken by 60% (down from 90%) and doesn't regenerate health anymore.
    * Improved Shadowform doesn't give a chance to remove all movement impairing effects when Fade is used anymore.
    * Misery doesn't increase the damage of your Mind Blast / Mind Flay / Mind Sear spells anymore.
    * Shadow Resilience now Reduces the chance you'll be critically hit by all spells by 2/4%. (Old - Reduces physical damage taken by 2/4%.)
    * Improved Fade renamed to Veiled SHadows. Now Decreases the cooldown of your Fade ability by 6 sec, and reduces the cooldown of your Shadowfiend ability by 2 minutes.
    * Improved Spirit Tap now let your mana regenerate at a 10/20% (down from 25/50%) rate while casting.

Dispersion seems now even more lame for pvp (just makes it a buffed self pain suppression) and a mini evocation in pve. Not worth 51. Fade goes back to sucking and misery can in no way compete with faerie fire. The spirit tap nerf isn't as bad because they are putting spirit in everything (and alot of it). So I understand it getting tuned especially for a teir one talent. Well at least warriors look amazing, so i'll go play him for a while.

You can't really use it to hide numbers anymore, with the new 3 minute cooldown, and it's worse for world pvp with a need to stealth often.

Gaaaaah. There's no "nerfing" in beta, people.

What Blizz is doing is ramping up the numbers all the way to one extreme, then pushing them all the way back down to the other. Now they'll change things, a couple of variables at a time, in order to finetune and balance.

At the same time, they'll try out different ideas just to see how they work - it depresses me that so many people act as if whatever the latest change in beta is what's going live. :/
