'Ukulele

Well, I don't have much so say other than I'm looking to learn to play the 'ukulele. The banjo is wonderful, but I'm looking for a break in the routine that will still exercise my fingers.

What should I look for when I purchase one? What's a good price for a good 'ukulele? Are sopranos the way to go? Anything I should know before committing to this instrument?

I would recommend a concert uke. They're tuned the same as a soprano, but are a bit easier for people with adult-sized hands to play.

As for price, that will depend on what you're looking for. You can find decent "starter" ukes for anywhere from $50 - $150. I'd recommend going just a little nicer, though, and getting something like a Bushman "Jenny", or a Fluke.

Both are great instruments with superb projection, and a superlative value.
