So, has Ned, or any other character, inquired about how he got his powers? Or is this the kind of series where questions of that sort Just Are Not Asked? Not judging, just curious.
Second of all, it works so well with the characters. Chi as the all-money detective using this guy is just so right, then the piemaker himself just does that quirky nobody who has incredible powers great too.
And the supporting cast is a menagerie is complete whackjobs and freaks and yet never feel out of place.
I put an awful lot of stock in the zippy and insane narration for setting the tone of the entire series. It is unlike any other, and I like it.
I mean, if I wanted to bring logic into this I could yell about it for a looonnnng time. But man, this show is too wonderful to over-think.
I can understand that. Though if Ned wants to eventually make kisses and suchlike with Chuck, then learning about the specific hows, whys and whats behind his powers might lead him to a way to nullify them. I'm just sayin', is all.

It just seems like, for someone who really wants to be with a girl, he seems awfully incurious about how to permanently overcome the barrier between them. It breaks the suspension of disbelief for me, a bit. I can buy bizzare powers and a quirky setting, but people still have to act like people. And this bit just doesn't feel right.
