Neighborhood festivals ++

I live in B'more and its Hampdenfest, my local neighborhood festival! Meaning its not even 5 pm and I have already seen two of my friends' awesome bands play (harlot (pronounced Harloh) and Baby Asprin) and, of course I am already drunk.
What is going on in your neighborhood? Where do you live? Is the culture good, or is it the barren wasteland of suburbia?
there were a bunch of festivals in denver. like, in the art district all the galleries opened to the public on the first friday of every month. it's pretty cool. i don't know what the fuck kind of festivals this town has.

In my neighborhood we get a festival called Fiesta once a year, it is like a month long celebration of beer and Mexican food down here in San Antonio.

Also, I've never been to the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis. It's a big thing, but it just seems like a really bad and expensive county fair of sorts.
There used to be block parties all the time where I grew up. Drinking and BBQing, is the best block party. Sadly, I wasn't old enough to know how awesome drinking is, so I went to bed at 9pm.

Ha ha, I bet you feel lame now looking back on it.

I Do and I don't. I used to play baseball/football with all the little kids as my parents and neighbors got drunk. I schooled their asses so hard it wasn't funny. And if one of them did h happen to get me out or down me(two hand touch) I'd powerbomb their ass.
there is a block party at my old street where i used to live every year on the fourth of july. it is awesome there is usually some jumper or big ass inflatable water slide. one time there was a dunk tank and some snow cone makin place. we always have a volleyball game going and then a water balloon toss that turnst into a fight, and usually some people bust out the squirt guns. then of course there's like kabobs and hot dogs and burgers cookin. some fuckin juicy steak too. beers and wine coolers everywhere! and then we all sit in the street and watch the fireworks show from the park that isn't too far away. oh and a fire engine comes around once to check that they can get through if they have too. they hang out and kick back a beer with us and let us fuck around on the engine.

I'm not sure that ACL is really a "neighborhood" festival anymore, but it has been awesome in the past.
Too bad it's getting so incredibly crowded, and the lineup wasn't attractive enough this year for me to go.
It isn't. But it was the closest thing I could think of. Aside from Del there isn't really anything I want to see at ACL this year and now with the UT game with Arkansas being played that Saturday it is going to be the worst time to be in Austin. I might take a roadtrip.

Wait a second. Is this like the fabled block party? I've never heard of a neighborhood festival here.
I fucking wish.
Neighbors here rush to their cars with as little contact with each other as possible.

My ability to care less has come into question.
In general, all the festivals worth mentioning have half-naked girls.
Also it's a football weekend here so.
That pretty much counts here.
But ACL Fest is coming up. That will be a big deal.

The keys aren't so much on a "board" as they are floating on the ether of the mind.
