ooo, ooo, the engineer should get a small laser gun that replaces his pistol. It doesn't actually do any damage, but his sentry gun shoots at wherever the laser points.
Like in Tribes 2!! I remember being able to use the laser pointer to assist turrets.
WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO CALL IN THE HEAVY ARTILLERY. SOLDIER NEEDS A MORTAR.
Turn the whole game into Tribes 2! Fuck yeah!
No I'm not being facetious, come awn!
Actually I wonder what effect there would be if you broadened each class's capabilities. Giving the soldier a mortar would change the class significantly because then he could hang back. You would have to take the mortar into account when designing a level, as well.
Simultaneous soldier/engy update release?
Rocket fires with a one-second delay before locking on to the lasered-target?
Edit - New Engy building, the "bullseye." Takes 10 seconds to build, costs 200 metal, but if it completes, target area is nuked from orbit.

I've discovered I don't suck as much as I thought. I may do horrific playing against you guys, but on public servers I seem to fair pretty well..

That train video...You know you could stop the train forever with the ubersaw, right?
All the medics would have to do is hit some enemy medics a few times, let those medics heal and still be ubering each other and the spy. Hell, if you could somehow keep the dispenser up, you could probably keep the train there during a real match.
ALSO, do you know how amazing it would be if a second/third train came while you were doing that? I doubt Valve thought someone could figure out how to stop their train.
It's actually possible to stop the train simply by having two people stack on top of it. Get two scouts on top of the train, one in front of the other; the train tries to "peel" you off on the edge of the map, but it won't work if both of you are on it. Found this out on cp_freight last evening.

i woke up with a fever after playing hey you's map last night, true story.
but really, I looked at it again and it's pretty good. You took a lot of hints from gravelpit, especially wrt building placement and rocks for cover/sight obfuscation. Point B and C seem a bit open and potentially too easy for offensive snipers, but we'd have to see it in play.
Pyro rights:
Criticals resulting from back attacks with the backburner should not be counted towards your chance to regular crit. The backburner at this point in time can ONLY crit from behind. And that's not balanced at all.
Causing a medic to pop his uber should be a point, this might not be a pyro exclusive right, but as a pyro I feel like it's one of my class objectives. And should thus be rewarded with points, like a engineer getting points for teleporting people.
Reflected projectile kills should be 2 points, like a spy backstab.

Just like I think backstabbing or otherwise killing a medic with a charged uber should be worth an additional point. I definitely agree about the reflected projectile, but causing someone to pop their uber is a bit more tricky. People would just get random points when somebody deliberately used their uber when intended.
I sent out my two pins today Boson and GPR. Got home early from work because they didn't have a computer set up for me and I could only read the manual so many times. Wasn't such a hot idea to go in my first day with a hangover though.
Going under the map and swimming around was good and fun for a while, but i'd actually like to play it as it was meant to be played.
I tested the map again last night, 2 that is. I have a laundry list of things I need to fix for test2 but... 2 is much better than 1.
also- Hi Iowa.
I was thinking about the ammo/health placements, and realized that it's more where they are than the number of them that is the problem. In gravelpit, the health and ammo are usually placed right along the path, rather than in little nooks out of the way. Also, they're really placed to allow you to use them and still be fighting for the point, rather than having to disengage to get them. Take the approach to C, in gravel pit, there's a health and ammo within 2-3 second from each door leading to the point, and another a few more seconds away if you go back to A or B.
How do you think you get better at the game? Steam rolling other teams?
Be a man!
But what if you're facing a team of the best snipers? I LEARN NOTHING everytime I face a sniper and get shot in the face except that I shouldn't go in the open. Or I should go spy. Do you want more spies?
However, if you use it while you're on the steamrolled team, you'll be called a whiner and the vote will fail.
If you use it while on the steamrolling team, you'll be called a spoilsport and the vote will fail.
Edit - If you are Fuga, you will try to call a vote when the teams are perfectly fucking balanced and we end up with a half-hour epic power struggle on Badlands, and we will laugh at you. Oh, and the vote will fail.
So yeah, it's kinda useless.

Changes from 0.5.6 to 0.5.7:
- Survivor weapon anomalies fixed.
- Redesigned zombie tracking.
- Balance is made more reliable. You should no longer be a zombie twice in a row or a survivor three times in a row. If this does not occur, it was intercepted due to the fact that the starting team ratios would be upset. You are more likely to switch to the proper side next round.
- Various glitches fixed.

We beat them so hard, they got better!
But yeah, teams should be scrambled after steamrolls not because of increased challenge on one part, but for the fun of everyone involved. In case of steamrolls, one team is having fun, the other team is watching their spawn timers

Yeah, I've never seen it go through because of those reasons. Rather annoying since I don't enjoy steamrolls at all, no matter which team I'm on.

If the process would be automated, what conditions will need to be met for a game to be considered "steam rolled"?

No one suggested it be automated
It should definitely be a vote thing, or if there's an admin on then he should be able to do it at will, bypassing a vote
In terms of a vote system, maybe there should be an automated +1 for the Yes vote to counteract sometimes uneven teams (12v11)

Is this why we don't have female classes?

It was the most awesome thing I've done as a spy.
