Marvel Solicitations for December 2008

    Marvel releases everything in hardcover first, the trade usually comes out a month or two later

    Actually there are some select Marvel titles that do go straight to tpb like Daredevil and Incredible Hercules.

    I am fairly confident there have been premiere HC releases of Herc, you're right about Daredevil though.

    Okay, soooo...

    Initiative, New Avengers, Iron Man and Ms. Marvel are all classified until SI #8

    There are two new titles called Dark Reign, which are also classified until SI #8

    There's a requiem series, also classified until SI ends

    ...and there's no Mighty Avengers.

    Thoughts?

    *edit* Forgot to mention the new War Machine series

    I am keeping my fingers crossed that due to Millar and Bendis' heavy involvement in the planning of Ultimimatum that we get good Jeph Loeb and not evil Jeph Loeb

    Weren't they supposed to have all the art done for Ultimates 3 before even starting to publish/solicit so there isn't humongous delays between issues?

    Well I know they pushed back Ultimatum a bit just so they could stagger it against SI instead of running concurrently the whole way through.

    Also to give Finch more lead time, but I dont know if the Ultimates delays have anything to do with that

    OK so I just read Ghost Rider
    Let me just say that the next few months of Ghost Rider, between the main book next month and the Dan Ketch mini, are going to be like getting your dick sucked by a guy with a flaming skull for a head

    I just really want to know what Dan's been up to all this time, and that's what the mini's covering
    How he got hooked up with Zadkiel, where he got this new spirit that he looks to be hooked with from the solicits etc
    I love Johnny, but Dan has a special place in my heart as my first introduction to Ghost Rider
