Actually when you guys had first brought this up (way back before .96) I tried to buy in. My card was never charged and I never got an email. That's kinda frustrating.
All I do in this game, is just travel with Veigir Knights. 40 at one time at least. Get a strong 1h sword and ride by people doing the side swipe. It's easiest way to win imo, but on hilly maps i get owned. Same with watery maps, so i have to do is stay on level land, and i can easily kill more than 50 people without losing more than 5-8 men.
I bought this today at my local Best Buy, somewhat on a whim, and somewhat from occasionally reading these threads and seeing all the hype and love for it. Whoa man, what an awesome game this is! I'm really sorry that I didn't try this before, but more than happy to support this game by buying the retail box. The combat, simple though it is initially to learn, has pretty much ruined me on all other fantasy RPG combat. It just works so well! The only weird thing for me so far is how close the camera is to the back of my character, but I'm adjusting to it.
Thanks, everyone, for making enough of these threads to finally get me to try this game. I will play this for years.

I usually just tap "R" and switch to first person view.
Yes, it lowers your situational awareness quite a bit unless you keep your head on a swivel, but it ups the immersion, crazy style.
Thanks, I'll have to try it out. I did try the first person mode briefly, but that was during the tutorial when I was still learning everything. I'll give it another shot.
