Evidently, I ended up ordering the game twice from the EA store (via digital download). So, I have an extra account code if anyone is interested. I'd probably let it go for around $40. PM me if you want it.
You aren't impassable forever. They made it so going up against someone for x amount of seconds would allow you to go through someone. [So someone couldn't afk in a doorway]. You can reset this by moving. And if you run through tanks on the bridge chances are everyone behind the tanks will target you...so while you can it's not exactly a brilliant thing to do.
Hm I didn't know that - they should make that work only for friendly players. If an opposing faction player AFKs in a doorway your only option should be to kill him.

Usually at the second or third quest hub, if you see one type of trainer, the rest are around somewhere in that area. though I think it doesn't show indoor trainers on the minimap.
Sorry didn't see this earlier - are they at this place in every pairing? The other profession trainers were at da war maker in mount bloodhorn, there was salvaging, butchering, etc....but I couldn't find apothecary or cultivating anywhere.

That's where I got mine, the thing was I didn't see the Talisman trainer at first. But he was in one of the huts, he didnt show on the minimap. I don't know about apoth/cult, since I went salv/talismans, but this was the same way on my Marauder, third or so camp.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

3. a monument for housing or commemorating a dead person.
4. any sepulchral structure.
It's almost as bad as switching "your" and "you're" around.
I find the "stand on a choke point" argument to hold no water, since if you push forward you'll lag right through them in about four to six seconds anyway.
You're missing the point. As a tank, if you place yourself between your ward and their assailants, you will buy them distance and time, and make yourself a much riper target.
Basically if you are not taking direct damage, you're doing something wrong.
As RDPS, I'm still going to ignore you and hit your RDPS and healers at the back. My 100ft range spells guarantee that, and engineers/Squig Herders I think can even go up to 110 or 150 ft.
You get close to me I'll just root you/PBAOE stun you/detaunt you/knockback you and just keep killing your healers/RDPS. There's no point in attacking you while your healers are alive so we'll just keep hitting your healers.
Then again, you're supposed to be focusing on the MDPS. But MDPS is generally less popular than RDPS (only having 2 classes instead of 3 kinda does that) which makes tanks less useful.
My experience in T4 was that MDPS and tanks were a joke vs. RDPS and it kinda devolved into RDPS+Healer vs. RDPS+Healer battles. This is because everyone gets so many CCs that if you need to get into melee range, you just aren't.

This is true, but it is much MUCH more difficult, a trickier matter indeed, to tank RDPS. As a healer my main focus as far as protecting myself goes is to attempt to stay out of LOS of the RDPS as much as possible, because it's mainly the MDPS that I can't avoid.
Well, theoryhammer aside, I tank just fine for my group. Taunt+Guard+position+snares+knockbacks/knockdowns=One happy team.
It's not one thing that contributes to success. That one thing isn't even one person. You need a group in this game to be the most effective. Saying RDPS beats tanks in a vacuum is fine, but I gobble up bright wizards and shadow warriors like candy. I imagine it will be better when I get my root break.

It gets better but that's near the end of T2, but in T3 Bright Wizards then get a channeled unbreakable snare (because it basically instantly reapplies) spell that'll tick off your health at 1k/crit and Shadow Warriors get Festering Arrow.
The problem is that you won't be the only one with the knockback/knockdown/snares later. Everyone gets it. RDPS and healers don't care too much because they can use their abilities from anywhere, but that's not true for MDPS/tanks.
Eh, tanks get alot in their toolbox. The game is surprisingly balanced from everything I see. Against melee DPS, I thnk you'd kill them pretty easy. I imagine the tanks are still going to be aggravatingly durable throughout the ranks (glee!).
I'm reading the warhammer alliance forums and loving it.
"My friends and I got a 5-day ban for standing on top of buildings killing players in an Order warcamp where the guards couldn't reach us!"
"I got a 3-day ban because I went to work, and told my son to play but not to talk to anyone, especially that CSR that keeps bugging you because I was running a script!"
Awesome to see that CSR's are out swathing through the douchebags that made other MMO's difficult to play/enjoy.

Most of the best ones are in the 'Latest Replied Topics' on the right side of the homepage, since people are just berating the shit out of them.
There are a few 'oh thats not right, you should get a warning first' inbetween the hazings, but other than that, I'm glad to know that the CSRs are watching.
'Many guards have ranged attacks which can attack people on houses, as well as the Ariel Bombardment 1-hit 50,000 damage attack from unknown source, which can seemingly hit anywhere on the map. The fact is, the guards did not attack us while we were on the roof, even though they could. Nor did they attack us when we were on the ground next to the house, inside the warcamp. The issue is not that we supposedly exploited the game so that the guards could not attack us on the house, because they could, but didn't.'
They're the same word, for all intensive purposes.
Hey, I've been playing in headstart and plan on picking up the retail box today. I hear crazy things can happen when you (re)install the game - what should I do so I don't have to repatch and everything?

Theoryhammer is the correct term because we are hammering stuff out, and not crafting anything.

Direct2Drive my friend. You can have it instantly.
I'd be upset if it was hard to pick up in stores. It came out this morning in a quantity of 1.5 million.
And by instantly you mean "after you download it for a few hours" right?
Those are some impressive download speeds.

Obviously you should have bought a few to sell to people in this thread for what you paid for them and/or a small packaging fee.
