Hey, so I'm really starting to hate Salvaging + Talisman making. It levels SOOOO slow. I need tips on bringing it up quickly. So far my plan is to go back to like chapter 2 PQ's and just farm bags. But then I would be farming. =/
There's no way to level salvaging and talisman making quickly. I have five characters feeding my main talisman materials (one of the characters is an apoth/cult, so I use that one to make gold essence) and salvagable materials (greens, blues, the salvage-specific drops), and it's still barely enough to level talisman making.
Besides, haven't you ever played Talisman? It's supposed to take forever! :P

I think you can buy renown gear and salvage that. Once you get high enough renown it starts to become green gear.
I'm running the game a last gen iMac in boot camp(2 ghz dual core, 2 gigs ram, RadeonX1600) and outside of raids it works really damned well. And I've never had a crash, except the one time I tried installing the Omega drivers for more umph but it wasn't as stable.
Ram is definitely the bottleneck for this game. It on nom nom nom's ram faster than the cookie monster in a Keebler Elf's tree.

I've got Scavenging/Talismaning and uh I haven't got the necessary materials yet to make anything at all
Man. Playing a blorc with buddies while they catch up to my shaman, and it's fun! And the tank abilities look awesome! Damnit, indecision! What to play? Blorc or shaman?

echo what are your char names? I got Klyka and Klykah (marauder / squig herder) maybe we can play later.
Is there a reason that I can't get into the guild?
I'm from PA. Isn't that enough? What's with the applications?
Too many people?
It's because you like Stalker.
Just /who The Six Mouths and message someone for an invite. That should get you on the right track. I havn't been on in a few days though, so I'm not sure if we're full or not.... last time I checked we were approaching 300, but I hear the alts all got booted to another guild.

The application is really just 'Hey tell us what your PA name is'. You WILL need to register on the TSM forums though, cause if you don't enter your main's name into your account thingy there you'll get booted when they do the guild audits.
Anybody on the PA forums can get into TSM, there're no restrictions. We're doing spring cleaning pretty soon though, you'll need to be registered on the forums and have your character in your account info to be a member. For now alts have to go to the alt guild because too many members screws up the guild leveling.

So, TSM last night proved it is possible to destroy a keep door from the inside. I don't think we want to try that again though, considering there were maybe 30 of us inside the keep, and they had 20 people outside and 25 people on the second floor.

We managed to shove them in, and destroy the door down the first time and proceeded to completely own the first floor. But they put up such a defense on the ramp to the 2nd floor as well as a similarly large simultaneous push at the front door behind us that we had to keep two separate groups going: one keeping them from pushing down from the 2nd floor and try and get up there, and a second one to stay at the front door and keep them from overwhelming us from behind.
This went on so long, the door respawned trapping us inside. So we busted it down.
some rewards early on are for colors you can't get from the merchants.
also, I believe I've seen posts and guild chat about people getting colors not on the merchant palate.
To go back to the technical issues, there's definitely some more opitmization that needs to be done. I have an Athlon 64 3800+, 4GB of RAM, and a 512 MB 8800GT and I can only get 25 FPS with all settings on low in regular play. In big keep raids it's a slideshow. It doesn't blackscreen, but it really isn't playable by any stretch of the imagination.
That it runs this bad was pretty surprising to me considering that Conan had a higher framerate on lowest settings.
Edit: I do realize my processor is my bottleneck, but I honestly don't have the money to upgrade it right now.
I've found with higher end systems, any FPS drop tends to come from either pushing the texture slider up or invisible backend stuff, not graphics.
I get the same performance (e8500; 4gb, 4850) on High Quality as I do Fastest Framerate settings. Large groups aren't an issue, though some areas are issues. The worst performance I've seen *by far* is in Mourkain.

Weird. I have the same rig except a 4200+ and I run on max, forced AA/AF, and it's smooth.
You may be experiencing the "large guild bug," where you get constant hitching being part of a large guild. You can grab the fix over at curse: http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/13694/
Installing now rawr. I'll be joining up with TSM sometime tonight when I finally get on. I read we have like 500 members!? So... are we short on anything? I'm assuming no, but figured I'd ask :P

Honestly, play what you want. Team balance helps, but doesn't trump good players. The Mouths have won all-guild scenarios using nothing but tanks and a few healers.

Nah, I already got that fix. I just defragmented, which helped a bit, but I bet there's some invisible stuff at work that's causing the problems.

Well damn, wish I knew you guys were rolling destro on ulthuan already had my WP from CE headstart, hopefully see some of you guys in stonetroll crossing tonite :P
So I have the collector's edition. But I didn't realize the quests were in your mailbox or whatever. I have now overleveled in Nordland and cannot finish the CE quest because it requires you to kill an Empire foe in a certain RvR area that I am too high level for now.
This is seriously stupid.

Door respawn?
I don't like that. The respawn should be a few hours unless you can repair it in the meantime.
I'll try talking to someone.

The site app isn't even a *before* thing necessarily; just something we want to have on hand. Thanks for doing that.
Anyone in /channel TSM or wandering around should be able to help you.

None built in, as far as I know. Curse has an addon for it.
Nothing too exciting, in my opinion.
