i'd like to see a bit more work done on texturing, the model is awesome, but all the textures have that soft matte feeling. she looks almost like a soft toy or something

real nice though, i need to learn some three deeeee

Her ass looks highly unrealistic, clothing doesn't just crawl up someone's asscrack like that.

I mean, sure, it'll probably score high among the horny teenagers, but I think it's just ridiculous. Besides that: oomg omg omg awesome.

Cool. Looks like she's made out of foam or something.

The gun looks like a rip-off of the pulse rifle though.

Posers one of the few 3D programs i've never gotten to use. How does it handle, compared to the other ones? Cause that looks pretty sweet.

    It should....

But yeah, I thought it was a figurine or something at first because of the matte effect. Texture wise, everything just looks like it was carved out of one piece of plastic.

    Awesome modeling though.

It's easy enough to say that something needs better texturing, but to texture really well takes a shit load of practice. Setting up the maps and painting them in photoshop is hard, especially when something doesnt line up quite right. For the style of this model, i think the textures really suit it well.

well he's clearly got the modeling part down, i don't think it's really that out there for us to try to give him a push to broaden his 3D skills by trying out more advanced texturing...
I think that's really the entire point of posting in this forum at all, to be frank, getting advice on where and how to hone your skills and being pushed to focus on the less refined ones.

I wouldn't say he's done the texturing well, since I'm pretty sure there's no texture yet, just matte colors. That doesn't mean anything, maybe it's not finished.

But damn, if I could do 3D modeling that well I would be...really happy.

Oh man, this is great, Parris. Don't listen to these guys- you make as many ass-grabbing thongsuits as you want.

The texturing advice is valid though. Which is not to say that this piece isn't awesome because it very much is.

Oh, and there aren't many 3D artists here, so this may become just the Parris Noir thread.

Well, it could help if she wanted to do really high kicks. There's one Red Sox pitcher whose windup which involves, for all intensive purposes, hitting himself in the face with his shin.

That texturing's not bad, (from what I can see), but it seems pretty obvious that it repeats.
