Stop the Troy Davis Execution Before Tuesday (URGENT!)

I haven't posted in years, so I apologize for the abruptness and lack of activity at the PA forums, but I think this is important, and I have no where else to post it besides forums.

I'm gaining support for Troy Davis, who will be executed Tuesday, September 23rd, if we can't raise attention for his case and get a new trial for him. He was accused in 1991 of murdering a police officer, but there is no evidence against him, and all but three of his witnesses have changed or recanted their testimonies since the original trial. Unfortunately, none of these new testimonies have been heard in court yet.

All I'm asking is that you sign up and send the pre-made email, or write your own. Only takes 5 minutes, and you can even edit the sample email if you don't have more time. I would hate to see someone be killed without any sufficient evidence like this. I'm not looking for any heated discussions about the death penalty, I'm just trying to get more support for fairness.

I hate to tell you this, but this isn't really a good thread for H/A. I can see that you feel strongly about it, but posting this here and bumping it yourself every hour probably isn't going to be terribly productive.

If you want advice on how to raise awareness for this cause or what else you can do to contribute, someone here may be able to help you brainstorm for ideas, but posting petitions like this is pretty much frowned upon at best as far as I'm aware.

If there are only a few days left and this man's life is important to you, there are probably more useful things you can do with the time than bump a thread pestering a gaming forum to sign what looks essentially to be an internet petition.

Organize an actual anti-death penalty rally. Maybe you can get it to coincide with a political rally or a political speaker, as bringing a large group of protesters into an area where there will already be media attention is bound to get noticed more.
I don't know if any political platform has proposed abolishing the death penalty, perhaps because it is considered a state matter, but I would give +5 political points to anyone who wanted to abolish it.

Edit: just to clarify, I didn't click your link. I am sympathetic but I don't want to encourage people to post on PA forums just to increase traffic on their linked to site.

Thanks guys. I thought of forming a rally, but I don't live in Georgia, so I'm not sure if it would be effective. I don't know where I would get the people, or where I would set up the protest though. I'm really not experienced with any kind of activism, and I only know the basic facts of the case. I don't know if I'm qualified to do something like that, and I think I might be overestimating myself.
