I've stuck a pic in here for novelty reasons lol -shrug-
aaanyway, ive got 2 Xbox360 pads linked to my 360, n id rather use 1 for my 360 n the other for a pc gamer pad, is there a way to 'disable' a 360 pad, so it recognises the pc instead of switching the 360 on whenever i press the dashboard button?
i could just unplug the 360, but the wire mesh behind my desk covering the plug socket is about as approachable as a electrical fence made out of tigers
Yeah, I'm not really seeing the point of having a wireless 360 controller for your PC unless you're one of those freaks who hooks up his liquid nitrogen-cooled supercomputer up to a giant Dr. Evil brand projection screen. I mean, how far away from your monitor would one want to sit, honestly?

There's plenty of reasons. For one, I put my off-PC on my TV, and I use the controller with xpadder to control applications - VLC and Netflix Watch Instantly. Also, it's either a wired pad for at least $30 or a wireless receiver for $20.
Once the pad syncs to the receiver, it's synced to the receiver until you sync it back to the xbox again. If you hit Start, the lights around the guide button just flash until it connects to a device (which is you physically hitting the Transmit button on the xbox and controller).
Yeah, I've got my 3 wireless controllers and one wired for when I want to use it on PC. The wired ones are pretty cheap, and it's less batteries to worry about.

as far as I know you need a receiver even to play, as the charge kit holds no data.
More shelling out for the Xbox i guess
