Even then I think That one file (Multi-something-something-something) is only necessary when you want multiple clients up to trade items to mules. Even Then, I removed mine and haven't noticed anything bad.
every time I run it, it tries to update online.exe, and then it says, "Cannot create file online.exe" in an error message, what am I doing wrong?
Delete the shortcut on your desktop. Then, navigate to where PSO was installed. Find the online.exe in that directory, make a shortcut, drop it on your desktop, and use that.
Unrelated: I've been slowly getting back into this game as a HUnewearl, and playing alone sucks hardcore. I'm just tooling around Ep 1, just getting into the mine area. I'd probably be up for playing with others, if they coudl tolerate someone still learning the ropes.
Also, how do quests work? I've played this game on and off since it was first on the DC, and it's always something different! Are quests even worth it, or do people just grind through?
Man, I played the FUCK out of this when I was a freshman in college. I had to special order a broadband adapter for the gamecube from EB because I couldn't find it online or anything anywere. I must have dropped around 200 hours into this game killing those fucking duck looking things. Too bad I have a mac now and am too lazy to dual boot into windows...
Man why is it that when you play a FOnewearl people get all judgemental? :P
Sorry?
You said you were about to say "Give me you fluids" and I was all :winky: then I saw your character and I was all  and . Then tried to make a joke out of it to feel better.

Why do you think I said it sounded wrong in the first place? That was the joke.

I'm getting this same problem, and it's definitely not a matter of where I'm running it from. I get it even if I run online.exe out of the install folder.

Depends. The basic offline quests are what they have always been. Somewhat storybased missions that don't do much aside from certain ones netting you some pretty awesome items.
Now the other missions are all sorts of awesome. Note: After one of the nonoffline missions is complete, the team will close, and you'll end up in the lobby. It's just how it works.
Also, anyone want to raise up with me as a new character?
Man, I run out of tp way too quick. It basically feels like I have to use 4 monos to fill up or 1 di to do the job but I can't even buy difluids they are too expensive.
So it's saying I don't have an account on the server? What?
I tried to register for an account, and it told me the name I wanted (MCMystery) was already taken, when I tried to re-register it told me my email address is no good, and that I can't register more than once a day.

And to the above guy, I only played the DC and Gamecube versions, but questing is important as far as I know. It also breaks up the monotony.

Aha. That was it. Thanks!

Some day soon...
I will FUCKING KILL DE ROL LE...
And it shall be a glorious day...
For what it's worth, I got the Gi spells now, so I can do more than spam Debuffs and pointlessly shoot stuff.
Because we've four-manned De Rol Le pretty easily, that's with people at L17 or so.
Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.
We were 3-manning at Levels 11 to 15 or so.
