The thing that's annoying me is that it's not like some rare problem that he probably hadn't heard of. My first sentence said I had the Three Red Rings. You can't really have a bigger red flag than that.
Believe me, I'm not suggesting the situation isn't fucked up. I'm only trying to bring perspective as to why you got the response you did. You expected the first level support to be able to resolve your problem by flipping the magic 'switch'. I'm simply saying that in Microsoft's CS org chart, that's not what they're supposed to do. You'd be amazed at the number of people who contact CS and didn't do any simple troubleshooting on their own and then always replay 'No, I already did that.' when asked. The tech you got a response from looked at the subject and played the percentages.
In most cases, first level support does not have the authorisation to automatically bump any issues to a higher level. These organisations use the numbers generated to determine which issues generate the most call/e-mails and then partition out responsibilities accordingly. Small CS groups don't need to do that, but I suspect that MS has a fairly large one and follows a typical tier design.
You also never answered the question about whether you sent in a direct e-mail or filed out an online form. I suspect it was an online form and in that case, right or wrong, 'Zen' never read the body of the e-mail and replied only to the general subject that you picked.
It's a messed up situation you're in, but I've never heard of anybody who had this situation resolved satisfactorily by using e-mail. Every positive result happened because the person with the problem picked up a phone and spoke to a human.

It was an online form, but the subject options were "Xbox Hardware", "Xbox 360 Hardware", "Xbox Software", and "Xbox 360 Software". I picked Xbox 360 Hardware. He obviously read something because he knew it was a DLC issue.
And I hate calling their support. Seriously "Paul", if you can't say "How are you doing today?" where I have some idea of what you just said, maybe phone support isn't your thing.
So yeah, thanks to LIVE, we'll have to plan for another weekend to do the Endless Setlist.
How far did you make it?
Song #28 - "Conventional Lover"
Shady disconnects early on and we fail out. We figure "screw him" and go on. But then every song stars with him on the bottom of the crowd meter (which is blinking red and the crowd constantly booing) and his guitar track totally muted. We got to "Shooting Star" but no guitar track sounded really bad so we just said screw it and left.
I made it up to Primus by doing some achievement farming.
Impossible Guitar challenge is the only one I don't have now, but we can do that another night. I'm pretty tired now, what with playing a bunch of end-tier stuff anyway. :P

Well, I also wasn't trying to suggest that the CS department was staffed by wonderfully informed people with independent streaks and nothing but the customer's best interests in mind. The larger the department, the less this is true. Many CS departments actively encourage speed over accuracy.
Given the sad reality we deal with, the form you filled out was routed to India or somewhere. And no matter how fluent they are or are supposed to be, 'Zen' read it for basic information and automatically sent the form letter.
Also, the release of the license transfer tool may have caused a kind of situation where the CS department has essentially 'washed their hands' of dealing with this directly. Best of luck.

We could do that tomorrow. Painkiller is in there though.
High five! There are better songs on that album but I'm not going to whine too much about it because you know.
I'm going to make a setlist, in which there will be opening bands, and everything.
True dat. New Wave or Thrash Unreal would be better.
I would've loved Animal because I love screaming the final "like an aaaaaaaniMAAAAHHHLL" in the car.
Or even if they took a live version of We Laugh at Danger off of We're Never Going Home / Americans Abroad!!! that'd probably just make me skip work for weeks on end playing it on repeat.

Heh, we already did that today for Impossible Band challenge.
It's pretty easy when you have guitar AND bass going - since it was just me, Arikado and his sister, I had to figure out how to get through the opening solo by myself. Protip: Ignore the single bass kicks, hit everything else.
Anyone with a RB2 Strat notice it doesn't like the xbox dashboard? It scrolls down and to the right fine, but to go up and to the left I have to hammer the arrow/strum bar over and over to get it to register once.

Mine acts perfectly normal in the dashboard.
the Dpad on my RB2 drums however, is very finicky.

You're shitting me. They're still having problems? Guess it's a good thing all of my RB1 instruments crapped out at the same time.

I already have their first two albums...I might need to look into this one.
their sophomore album wasn't so good but they look to be on track here--the chorus is great and the guitar is a little more meaty
We could do that tomorrow. Painkiller is in there though.
I'd better play online soon, I don't want to feel like I wasted my money...

I think I'm just going to do t-shirt art because of this.. it's way too annoying to do with the guitar.
Heh, we already did that today for Impossible Band challenge.

Couldn't you make art for a t-shirt and then apply it to a guitar? I thought they'd use the same art library...
Because you can't edit or buy guitars without navigating there with a guitar controller. If you use the controller, you can only buy mics.

1. Get someone unfamiliar with "They're Red Hot."
2. Convince them to play it on vocals. "C'mon, it's only a minute long, how hard could it be?"
3. Enjoy listening to them rapidly mumble with maybe one word recognizable out of six.

It's kind of just a skin and bones site. No forum (which may be a plus for some). Just a clickable advertisement really.
edit: Dammit, always happens to me.....now I'm on the main RockBand.com website and it looks to have a pretty major facelift.
Easily confused, this one.
Rock Band Profile/Rock Band DLC
RockBand.com 2.0
Nah, that's just the advertising site that's been up for awhile. www.rockband.com has been all revamped to feature all the new rock band 2 things.
EDIT: And also I've been loading it since before my first message on this subject and it has yet to finish the homepage.
EDIT AGAIN: Okay I guess it's down now.
