Dammit, now I want some Primus songs so my vocalist girlfriend will be forced to sing like a redneck.
Please don't try to insinuate Les Claypool sings like a redneck. He certainly has a distinctive vocal style but for crap's sake the guy comes from Southern California. Er wait, that's more central California I guess. Whatever.

Oh no, I'm well aware of that. I know that he's much more intelligent and verbose than the average redneck. I'm a huge Primus fan.
But the dude sounds like a turbo-redneck. One of the reasons I love 'im.
I'm getting RB2 in the mail tomorrow from Amazon. I'm happy to see E-Pro on there. I went to a Beck concert last night and they ended on that song.
I also missed out on getting a picture with him by a few minutes. We were waiting near the bus for awhile and got a picture with his guitarist before deciding to leave, and of course by the time we get to the garage and are driving by we see him and the rest of the band getting back on the bus. Oh well, at least the guitarist was pretty hot and the show was kickass.

E-Pro is possibly the most annoying song to play on drums... ever.
Also, I just tried out the reciept-less drum replacement, and they said I'm going to have to provide a reciept now. Wtf. Guess I shoulda kept it.

I've been having wrist problems lately, so I'll likely just be singing for the time being, even though I can hardly carry a note.
By the way, you can get the Tug of War/Score Duel achievement by doing the non-ranked modes as well. You can even do it locally if there are different accounts signed in.
Finally going to be able to get RB2 this Thursday. I've been waiting for a paycheck to come in so I can get the new guitar/drums with the game. Looking forward to all three. Luckily getting it with a heavy discount, and some friends chipping in, otherwise I'd almost just wait for the bundle.
I have to say, as one of the few 360 players who still only has RB, the dlc being compatible for both is really comforting. I'm sure it must be helping our ps3 brethren pass the time till October as well.
I need some advice, I think I need to "pad" my xbox and i'm not sure of the best method, money and safety wise. When I play drums, my kicking causes the 360 to shake, witch then causes it to scratch my disc. Ive had it "re-buffed" twice now, and I need it to stop so I can play drums again, want Rush a.s.a.p.
My living room is pretty small, and I couldn't get more then 4 or so feet in distance if I want to stay in the same room. The console is sitting on a shelf in the entertainment center below my TV, and I'd rather keep it there if I can. I think issue comes from the older hardwood floors, which have more give and I think cause some sway. I was thinking about trying some towels under the 360 or maybe a pillow, but I'm worried if it would effect air flow, and wouldn't stop the sway, if that's the problem. I'm sure it's my leadfooted kick pedal action, I tested a solid 12 hour session over the weekend with other games, not a nick on any of them.

So I'm going through "Jukebox mode" with 80% of Moving Pictures (Can't do YYZ and Camera Eye is... meh) but I love the intro for Witch Hunt I got when in the stadium. Everything was pitch black before Alex's guitar kicked in. Just like when they played on tour.
You know... after seeing them in concert and having various live albums and bootlegs... I miss the crowd singing along for Tom Sawyer and Limelight.
Speaking of Limelight, I just got to that song on my setlist and the drummer actually held the cymbal when he hit it during "I can't pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend". It's a nice touch as Neal actually does this.
I wish there was an easy way to tell how many people are on the leaderboard for a certain song, I want to know if being ranked 34th on Vocals "Can't Stand Loosing You" is something to be proud of, or if there are only 200 people are on the scoreboard, and I got that high simply because I tried.
For the first time today I had more than just one other person over to play Rock Band. It was pretty fun, and by the end of the night we were singing songs by adding the word "Dicks" in randomly, and I was playing drums without my sticks. I bongoed and beat Tom Sawyer rather easily on hard when we were doing this, and then I went on to do it another few times. Couldn't finish Welcome Home like this, too, though, as our singer was interjecting "dicks" into the song at really awesome times, and the other two of us fell to the floor laughing.
You know how awesome the Moving Pictures album download is?
My dad (huge Rush fan) comes home to me playing through the Moving Pictures challenge. After hearing me play Red Barchetta and Limelight from another room, he comes in while Camera Eye is going through the synth opening and asks in a quizzical and mystified tone "Is that Moving Pictures? Did you get Moving Pictures?"
I turn around with a big grin and nod.

I just watched a video of the guitar chart for Shoot the Runner.
How the hell is that supposed to be tier 0? More like 2 to 4 I'd say from the solos.

I think the tier system has been redone. What makes sense to me is that tiers are now based on challenge of passing a song. Whereas before it was based on gold-starring a song.
Because of this, songs that are mostly simple and repetitive but have a super complex solo, or portion of the song, as long as that portion isn't long enough to fail you out, then its basically not reflected in the difficulty.
Similarly, I think this is why More than a Feeling, though being filled with 3s and 4s for difficulty, has a 0 for band difficulty.
"Teenage Riot" is a great song but doesn't transfer so well into Rock Band. It's just all around annoying bullshit on every instrument other than bass.

I love it on guitar.
I was surprised at how much I liked it on guitar. However......I will say that I think it drags on for a bit too long.
I'm also surprised how much I like every song on Moving Pictures. They're all super fun. The only one I really don't care for is Camera Eye, but that's mostly because it's a ten minute song that kind of repeats itself, at least on guitar. It still sounds great and the solo is balls-hard. I'm also surprised at how hard YYZ was, but I do think it's a better chart than the GHII version. The new Tom Sawyer is so much better, too.

I just played Red Barchetta and YYZ as a two song set on the Tour while playing guitar and it was kinda funny to watch everybody rocking the fuck out during YYZ. Except the singer. She kinda just stood there in the opening crowd shots and I can only assume was taking a nap behind the amps during the rest of the song.
It's times like these that I am happy I gave up on ranking myself up there with the top players. The drama now is regarding some weird Leaderboards bug that is listing glitched career scores that don't add up correctly. It usually starts off with people acknowledging it and then the less-informed acting on it and sniping down players who are assumed to be exploiters.
I'll stick to rockin' with the PA folks, thank you very much.
Also, Shady, are we doing this Endless Setlist shit this weekend or is your cold gonna fuck up your metabolism?

I'm not sure that's true. Of the Tier 6 and 7 songs I've done on Expert guitar, I believe I've only failed one. Battery, during the solo. The second time I passed it after saving my OD for that spot. And aside from the odd rhythm, it wasn't all that hard to pass. I might have failed Shackler's Revenge the first time... But in both those cases, it's a matter of not being familiar with the song in question.

Also I think it's pretty fair to say that Les Claypool sounds like a redneck, given that he takes every opportunity to make himself seem like one.

If you've already beaten a challenge set and are replaying it (for a higher score, etc.)...it will not save your progress when you "Save and Quit". :x
Unless I somehow hit the wrong thing, but I'm really sure I didn't.

Also 1600 point cards for $16, but you'd need to spend at least $25 for free shipping.
Yoink!
Yay amazon prime.
I am a freaking nerd.
I've got uh... 1300ish on my account right now, then a 1600 point card and 8000 on the way.
I guess I might make it through the holiday albums okay.

Actually, the 0 is for the number of songs in the game that are more awesome than it.
There are no songs more awesome than More than a Feeling as a full band. None. It's the best.
