I also hate how Chuck keeps bitching about wanting to be a spy but then always freaks out when he's expected to kill someone. After all he's been through, to not be aware that spies have to kill people by now means that Chuck is secretly retarded.
Yeah, this is one part of the plot that is really stretching the realm of believability by now. Especially when you consider how many times he's had a gun pulled on him.
I mean, I get he's hesitant to kill people, but so am I, and I wouldn't have any hesitation pulling the trigger to kill someone if they were directly threatening my life. He's had that happen sooo many times now and still pussied out.

i am the complete opposite of you two
i think he thinks he can kill someone but when he is thrust into the situation he can't pull himself to do it
sarah knows this and thats why she freaks out whenever he has to go on a mission or something goes wrong, she knows that chuck doesn't have what it takes to be a spy
neither does casey

Chuck has an innocence they don't have anymore. They know his family and friends and realize they missed out on all of that and don't want that to happen to Chuck. Because they love him.
They are going to stop Agent Superman and then they are going to get together and I don't care if this show has tricked me a million times it's going to happen
One part of me thinks "oh snap Routh would be great as the BBEG for part 2 of this season" and another part thinks "maybe just kill him now and find someone else."

I know I'm an episode behind, but what the fuck? Sarah doesn't like Chuck anymore because he (didn't) kill some guy? And she's killed how many people in her time with the CIA/NSA/whatever? Hello inconsistency.
She said in that very episode that the day she got her first kill was the worst day of her life, and that was a big part of why she was arguing against making Chuck do it in the first place. Also, part of why she likes Chuck so damned much is that he isn't a spy and hasn't been corrupted by that whole thing. I don't think it's inconsistent at all.

You're right, poor choice of words on my part. The word I was looking for was hypocrite.
the CIA not know who Sarah killed on the red test they supposedly set up for her? I guess you could just blame it on ring agents manipulating the whole thing? or wizards
Yeah, I got the feeling that perhaps the ring had set up Sarah's "red test" to manipulate things, or that they had changed the CIA intel or changed who was there so that in one way or another Sarah had killed Shaw's wife without the CIA knowing that it was Shaw's wife.
Of course, either way I think by far the worst part of the episode was like, 30 seconds after Sarah was all "I CAN'T LOVE YOU BECAUSE YOU KILLED SOMEONE" and Shaw said something like "Well now I'm losing interest" about not hearing the gory details and Sarah was all "THIS GUY IS SO NICE"

This is really bugging me.
Agreed. I just started watching the show this season and by far it is one of my new favorite shows.
Glad they are coming back in the summer, unlike say Sunny and Dexter which end super early in the year and don't come back until September again.
Why didn't he just check under all three at once, more importantly.
Not that it matters, anyways. The scene still would have ended up the way it did even if they didn't do that stupid thing you just said.

Awesome becomes Captain America to take down the Ring.
I would take Ryan McPartlin over Chris Evans any day for Cap...
