DEXTER - Season 7 finale'd! Spoiler for those who haven't caught up. 1 season left!
I'd rather not have suspicion cast on Dexter for Rita's death, through Trinity or otherwise, because that seems like it would be awfully boring
thankfully, I can't really see them going that way. Rita was a little old for Trinity's usual bathtub victims, but that isn't even close to being unbelievable. if the homicide department catches on to that, it could easily be chalked up to Trinity being sloppy on the run. the other thing is Arthur's family knowing Kyle Butler, but I don't see them interacting anymore because Rita was a victim. I doubt the department wants its murderer's families and their victim's families anywhere near each other. if anything, Arthur's family seeing Dexter was more likely when he was just another blood spatter analyst
that wasn't what I meant, I should've phrased it better
I was meaning that Rita's death shouldn't cause people to suspect Dexter of having some sort of relationship with Arthur, like a few people have said might happen
I doubt they will bring back Trinity's family. If they bring up Kyle Butler to the cops they will say "yea we already found him, killed by Trinity". Wrapping up any loose ends with them.

It certainly should cause that, if anybody remembers Arthur walking into the station to chat with him. Some people were suggesting he would be suspected of murdering Rita and making it look like a Trinity killing though which makes no sense. Even Quinn doesn't think Dexter is a murderer.
He knows he's hiding something though; he's got the Doakes sense! I don't get why, though. Everyone's got their dirty past. I don't even remember why Quinn transferred from Vice; can anyone refresh me?

It's been over for a week, if people are stupid enough to come in here who aren't caught up, their fault
stop using spoilers

I don't know, that's pretty polite for me to be honest.

"I would advise you to become accustomed to this state of affairs" is pretty dick.
It was a suggestion I made.
A simple "I'd prefer spoilers be used for a while still" is polite.
Yours was more of a "BEHOLD MY SPLENDOR AND UNHOLY RULE."
Well I'd argue the point but unfortunately I couldn't conceivably care any less about whether or not you feel that I've been impolite to you in the course of your barking orders at other members of the forums.

From what I've read, the producers say they have no plans to have Rita come back as a ghost.
I agree; it would seem pretty stupid. I mean, his dad seems to have become a seriously major character, at least from this season. So using it for TWO people would be a bit silly.

And I still say it'd be dumb and make for boring television
I don't recall anyone suggesting that second thing, the only thing that was suggested was that people might suspect Dexter of having some connection with Trinity

I don't think there's much reason to suspect Dexter just because Arthur was at the station.
1. Arthur staked out all his kills.
2. It could possibly be seen as Arthur retaliating against Debra for the death of his daughter. He goes to Dexter's house, finds Rita instead of Dexter, then has to kill her instead.

"Hi Dexter, I'm the ghost of serial present."
Eerie.
She did a funny bit on the Soup this week, though.

After he kills his own son, some estimated grown-up version of him can be the ghost of serial future. Trifecta complete.

I really don't get why they built up so much tension between those two.

"Hi Dexter, I'm the ghost of serial present."
like, now.
how long do i have to wait again?
pretty much a year.
the producers/directors/writers and whatever aren't even going to get back and talk to each other about next season until Feb.
then they gotta write it and film it.

I have some vomit to mail
