Okay so, need a bit of help with my mic related noob factor. Are we actually using Vent while playing our matches? Or are we just using the in game voice chat? I have no idea what the advantages of using Vent.

That seems like a reason not to use Vent. That's a tad unfair.
So when should we meet to play? Do we just go storm up the other server? Otherwise if we play on the tourney server and assuming all goes well and that tourney matches only last an hour, we have from 8:30pm to 10:30pm EST.
Anyways, I should be good to practice a bit tonight.
EDIT: or by the looks of it, if tourney matches last two hours, then we should probably use the other server or find somewhere to run amok

I was going to suggest youtube since they just increased their file limit to 1GB but there is still a 10 minute time cap apparently. We basically came to the conclusion that watching the demo file would be far superior than trying to make a video out of it.

The server demo records ALL game elements. You can switch your view to any player or fly around in spectator. It is just like watching the game live.
The demo you watched was probably a player recorded demo which only records that person's view during the game.
The server demos are larger in file size because they contain all of the server and entity data.
The SourceTV master can record games without any data loss or network delay. All events and entities are recorded and the demo file can be played back just like a normal client demo (use the demoui for playback). To start recording a demo file, SourceTV must be enabled before the map was loaded, then execute tv_record demoname. Demo recording will be stopped next time the map changes or with tv_stoprecord. To automatically record every single game you can set tv_autorecord 1. Automatically recorded demo files will be named after the map and date/time when the recording started (auto-YYYYMMDD-hhmm-map.dem). SourceTV spectators can also record the game using the normal record command, but as in normal client demos, you can't change tracked player or spectator mode during replay.

Do we need one? BigWah set up the steam group, but other than that there hasn't been any indication of leadership. I had a flurry of activity yesterday, but that was just because I was freaked at the prospect of getting replacements for half the team.

If you can't compress it, or don't know what the best way to do so would be, please talk to me via Steam IM and we'll set something up.
