Am I reading the tooltip wrong?

The glyph says it increases the duration and cooldown of Consecration by 2 seconds.

Doesn't that uh... sound pretty lame? Especially for a major glyph? I'd much rather have the Glyph of Blood or Glyph of Command along with the Judgement and Crusader glyphs over that one.

It lasts two seconds longer without you having to refresh it. It's a significant DPS boost and MPM boost

Over an 80 second fight, the conc glyph will save you roughly 2 consecrates and give you a looser set of cooldown restrictions on your rotation from the increased CD and extra GCDs you get.

Is it worth wearing leather as a ret paladin? I only ask because I will most likely be exalted with the Ebon Blade tomorrow and the chest has a shit load of AP and Agility on it, and I think http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37890 are way better than my current legs.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37263 are better in every way but stamina than those mail legs (and, in fact, are legs that I'm still using), but the Ebon Hold exalted leather chestpiece is still extremely good for a pre-raid piece. I used it for a long while.

Case by case basis. If its better, you wear it, if not, you don't.

I would never roll against a leather wearer for leather, though, thats just wrong.

Yeah, ret pvp is pretty amusing these days. Even more so when your raid leaves Malygos full buffed and runs into Wintergrasp to take it over. Having a pocket healer so I can run Seal of Blood in pvp? Yes, please.

It's one of the (relatively) few trinkets that will count towards the Epic achievement. What I find odd is that the best Ret trinket in the game, Darkmoon Card: Greatness, doesn't count towards it; it only has an iLvl of 200.

So this is my pally currently.
I know my spec is probably pretty silly. I just kind of threw something together that kind of resembled my old questing/5-man healing spec. I wanted to get to actually playing.

So seal of the Crusader is gone? I kind of miss the extra holy damage.
Is Seal of Corruption better for long fights than righteousness? How about short normal mobs?
The new cooldown on holy shock is awesome, but I sometimes forget it's ready again.
I'm glad judgments trigger GCD now, cause after 3 hours last night, I'm still trying to waste mana by reapplying my seals after judging.

I have half a mind to seriously push to get that +90 intel Darkmoon card. How feasible would pushing towards 35k mana be...... I think it would be downright hilarious to see that thing proc, throw up a Divine Plea, and then giggle at every other Healing Class in this game. Mp5, Innervate, and Spirit ain't got shit on us right now..

So question to the prot paladins.

My friend has been a prot paladin since BC, and back then it was important to have a +spelldamage weapon for tanking. Is that no longer the case? If not, why not?

Well, by now this has lost all meaning, as seals and judgements have been changed and buffed and nerfed so much since we were first reassured about the removal of Crusader. I think -- before taking talents into account -- seals/judgements actually do less damage for a holy paladin now than they used to, possibly even without JotC being on the target.

It's not particularly important, since holy paladins have other new ways to put out more damage than they used to, but the whole "baked in Crusader" thing at this point is basically just rhetoric.
We get a spell power bonus with our stamina. So now tanking weapons are good for us.
And Hammer of the Righteous does damage based on melee damage, not spell power.

We brought like eight pallies to raids, so cleanse spam wasn't so bad - with decursive, you beat the shit out of your cleanse key for like six seconds, and then went back to casting FoL and cancelling it because the druid is bored and decided to drop HoTs on everyone.
