If the armory starts showing it again.
I'm combat. Beat a Mutilate rogue in a Kara run who was wearing some epic pvp shit. I think he just sucked though since I was dead for almost the entire Prince fight.
Is there anyone who actually pvps their way through WoW nowadays? All you prissy little girly men talking about your marginal DPS increases is making me want to go lift some weights and groom my beard
Wow pvp has always sucked IMO. I have plenty of FPS I play when I want to smack around some bitches
Actually I LOVED world pvp back when there were no BGs. I just hate this sandbox'd junk. And like I said, I play rogue because it's a spreadsheet simulator and I love's me some math.
not a day goes by where I don't consider dropping Hunger for Blood just because it's so goddamn irritating to keep up but it's niiiine percent damaaaaaage
I hate you so much, Blizzard. :x
I sort of want to try the other two specs and see their underwhelming-but-wacky 51-point talents, because at least they appear more flashy than HfB
I'm holding out for wintergrasp personally. I just can't smack some boss for 30 minutes then die because some retard failed at positioning and the whole raid wipes.

Bosses don't even really take much more than five-ten minutes really, aside from the really big end encounters (I think Illidan was something like a 20+ minute fight the first time people managed to down him). But I get what you're saying: enjoyment of raids is wholly dependent on people not being fuckups, and they often are.

The only boss that took forever it seems was the Broodlord Lashlayer but then it was the fight up to him that took forever
And Raiding is fun when people make it fun it becomes a hassle when they demand things
Ebonroc could easily become a 45+ minute fight if youre tanks kept fucking up. But I loved raiding back when I did it primarily because of the people I was playing with. If you don't have a great group of people to play with, anything can suck.
I primarily raided for 1) the challenge of downing content we hadn't done before 2) the prestige of downing said bosses and, most importantly, 3) because my guild is/was full of awesome laid back people.
can someone explain the hate for killing Spree? I mean I know it's not the most amazing thing ever but it's very useful and adapts to a lot of situations and bursts out the ass.
Like on Aoe trash in hyjal last night I'd pop blade flurry then KS so each KS attack is also on other mobs from blade flurry. I know it's not putting me up with the real aoeers on damage but it's something to do that isn't slowly dragging necros into aoe. And it justs looks cool as a rogue so see dozens of big numbers flying up all over the screen from my attacks instead of in one spot all the time
on bosses i generally use it after my first garrote runs out so that i can vanish and put another one up because blood splatter + no reagent vanishes make them more available for use midfight instead of just as openers plus the vanish knocks off the high threat that KS generates
It's not groundbreaking but it's fun and it is a nice dps boost, not as nice as new poisons i guess but it's still better than shadowdance and more convenient than HfB. Really though none of the rogue changes where huge. Our damage boost came mostly from poison changes i think
It's 5 MH and 5 OH attacks in 2.5 seconds whilst preventing you from using any abilities for it's duration. It's teleport-to-mob/boss effect putting you inside of a raid boss is disorienting/annoying and can get you killed. Using it versus a bunch of mobs is fun, but its quite good at ending up with you next to a mob that you aren't targetting, plus it goes after everything, including DEAD MOBS sometimes.
However bad it may be though, use it against Felmyst or Hyjal gargoyles/frost wyrms in the sky. Flying ninja rogues.
So is a Mutilate spec as good as or better than Sword Spec for leveling? I just took my rogue from 55-60 this weekend. And I'm wondering if mutilate is worth it for solo leveling.

Now that the positional requirement is gone, abso-bloody-lutely. It's at least as good as sword spec, the only downside is that you don't have the ability to take on multiple targets (once every few minutes) as you do with sword spec, but that's not a huge concern. If you have a couple'a decent daggers, I'd say go for it. Hell, even if you don't, you could probably do fine with some Ced's Carvers until you get the first few Northrend quest rewards/greens.

That sure is a reason to hate it.
Look, I can partially quote, too!
Read the rest of his post. The annoyance of KS isn't so much the 'you no do abilities nao', but that the targeting of the ability is royally borked when it targets dead people, to say nothing of how disorienting it is.

I have 0 daggers. But I think I'll give it a shot. I'm running around in the Green/Blue quest rewards from HFP. Mutilate sounds like more fun anyhow.

Bad news - they were talking about making it a debuff effect instead of an attack with said effect.
On the plus side, if you like sword spamming, Seal Fate/Combat is a possibility (I think), so you could effectively get the same effect (sans the debuff, naturally).
devs have stated that hemo isn't meant to be the main attack, only to provide a damage increasing debuff. e: which is why it's damage compared to SS( i am assuming specced and glyphed) is so bad.
I really don't like sub anymore, combat never did quite pull me in and I don't have a single dagger. With the expansion coming out in a few days, I am truly screwed. Anyone know of any Wotlk dagger quest rewards/drops I should be going for?
edit: or i guess any possible quest rewards from outland? I am really desparate i may even go buy a couple ced's carvers

KS is getting buffs, slowly but surely.
They may lower HfB's effectiveness, but if it means removing the dumbfuck functionality it currently suffers from, i'll welcome it with open arms.

Who even does that anymore

Mutilate is pretty much pure sex. I love it.

Well except for HfB, you'll learn to hate that skill so much. But it will be changed in the near future.
My daggers are utterly terrible.
I'm hoping it'll be sooner than that, but GC's last few comments on future changes have me spooked.
I like sword-hemo spamming, even if it isn't ideal.
