I'd prefer to do it myself. I've had people taking care of stuff for me long enough! But thanks for all the advice! Jon's been giving me a lot of pointers too. He said he learned most of his stuff through trial and error, I don't supposed you gained all your knowledge through some magical wiki or something?

No magical wiki but a whole lot of non-magical ones as well as a bunch of forums.

Like this one? Which forums did you grace with your presence that I may come down upon and bring a shadow of chaos and confusion? Basically, anything you'd recommend besides the SourceMod site?

Both the Sourcemod site and the Metamod site are good resources. The Valve Developer wiki also has a bunch of info on commands. Some of the Sourcemod documentation on their site is spotty and they have changed some things that aren't reflected on the wiki. Sometimes I just had to look at their config files and figure out how they had some things laid out.

Most people just call me "Ginger" because they can't pronounce the Mijango Midg-an-go

    Dear Nuzak,

Thank you for your recent correspondence, I am doing well and I thank you for asking, I have however heard some dreadful rumour about you contracting Syphilis from a disease ridden whore, I do hope this is not true as I would have to end all dealings and communication with you and you do so cheer a man up when he is feeling down, for I can always say "At least I'm not Nuzak", puts the smile right back on my face I can tell you.

I have sent a jar of embalming fluid along with this letter, so that when your Penis eventually falls off, you can preserve it, thinking back to the good old days when your body was not riddled with disease and your genitals did not reside in jars. Good luck.

    Sincerely

You know what I don't like seeing? Pubbers with clan tags, which falsely makes me believe they've got the slightest idea how the game works- only for them to do something monumentally daft and make me consider that they're probably part of a clan for a completely different game. Either that or they're fake clan tags. I'm sure it's just to mislead me until I come across some actual TF2 clanners who will proceed to pound me into a fine paste.

I actually got the chance to try one of these things this past weekend at a buddies “baby’s first birthday” thing. He didn’t have the gun grip, but I was able to use the technology with its training demo. His computer was crap so I wasn’t able to take it into Half-Life 2 either. It’s a really weird sensation to get used to and I have my doubts about using it competitively. I was having issues just playing tennis with it. It does do a great job of simulating the feeling and texture of things. During my training, I was given a series of spheres to touch and mess around with. They had different textures like sand, sand-paper, ice, syrup, rubber, and bumpy. It actually was pretty neat. He bought his for around $60 from Comp USA when they were going out of business. He still had the normal retail sticker on the thing and it said $400. Heck of a deal.

edit: what a lame totp... a review. pfftt. i've gotta find a video to put here instead:

If I had to guess, I'd say it's the SourceTV. There is a default delay of 15 seconds or so on the broadcast, and when map change rolls around, that buffer has to empty out before it can actually change maps.

Yeah I'd agree, I'll double check my config and kill that setting if it is there. It might be hanging around because of the tournament config.

For the tournament. It makes getting a high quality demo of everything that occurs pretty easy.
