See, this is why I liked TFC better. With grenades, there was more skill involved. Now it's just spray and pray. It's tough being the most pro gamer around ~sigh~.
Which doesn't help since my cats managed to get at all my yarn which I thought I had put out of reach, and I woke up this morning to about $40 worth of yarn completely ruined.

It's make shit up hour in fantasy land! I suggested you build underneath where you were while the cart was still on the ramp but you kept making round trips for metal to put the thing up in the same spot. I had several defenses in the last few hopeless seconds. Regardless, I don't care about losing, I was just amazed by your ant-like determinism and I'm the kind of cock who calls people out on that kind of thing.
Talking of snipers, some asshat was chewing out a newbie sniper on the Fragmasters UK server...
Usually the place is pretty great, but this one guy was vehemently attacking our sniper for "failing to do anything" even though the guy was in the middle of the table (and only two points shy of the complainer).
This was blatantly bullshit because said sniper had killed two engineers allowing me and another demo to spam a distant SG nest into oblivion- so I called the guy out on it. His retort? "Yeah sure he kills people, but always with bodyshots, I've never seen him get a headshot, he should fuck off to a different class and let someone else play."
Personally I'd have thought that reaching the middle of the table as a sniper with no headshots inflating your score is pretty impressive. And more to the point, Fragmasters has no class limit o_O
Now, I was there for the situation in particular but. Just be nice and friendly when you give people advice and they tend to re-act well. Likewise, one should be able to accept criticism without letting their ego be hurt.
Guys guys, a more ideal approach to the situation would be explaining to the engi what you think would help him be more effective, rather than attacking his approach. When you attack someone, then they instinctively get defensive, and then you're not really getting anywhere. But then the engi would ideally have to also be open to criticism on his building strategy. By striving for better means of communication, we can all be a more effective team.

I was quite clear in the previous TF2 thread that I only recently started playing the game, and am still learning what the classes can and cannot get away with. I've been asking questions every few days trying to figure stuff out, because a last stand defense is the wrong time to stand around typing questions.
Last night I just hit a full hour of play time on the engineer, total. How long did it take you to become mister awesome at TF2? Or did you just start up the game on day 1 and realize you were the best?

If you've got a charged shot I always figured it was better to aim center of mass when you know that'll kill your target instead of going for the unnecessary headshot. I'm not sure I've ever killed a sniper with a charged headshot - it just makes more sense to shoot him in the boobs.

you really need to start paying attention to every single person who plays on the PA servers, take note of their play time on each class, their likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, etc etc......come on dude, you should know by now that you need to know every single new face!!!
