My Santee is apparently getting his gift today. It's with the DHL courier now.
It's not much, and I wanted to do more but because I haven't been able to work as much because I've been sick and school has been extremely hectic, I'm running out of money, that on top of Intl. shipping fees.
I might end up shipping another gift sometime after Christmas, just because I really wanted to do more.
Sorry I couldn't do more, I really wanted to. Money's been a bit tight, but I bought stuff I was absolutely sure you'd like. It might not be a new console or a game, but I did my best. :D
Oh, on another note, I used Mrs. Imran's name for the billing address. Not purposely, mind you, but she was the last one to use my Play-Asia account so I didn't realize it until it shipped. So you'll see her name as the person who sent it, but rest assured, it's from me. :P
Sorry for the image quality, this is a cell phone pic...
So that's Kung Fu Hustle (haven't heard of it but anxious to watch it), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (which I've heard great things about), and the one movie I have been wanting to see forever but have never gotten around to: Serenity. How does my Santa know me so well?
And just for kicks, he threw in ELITE BEAT AGENTS!!!!!!!!!!
Kyougu, you are all kinds of awesome. Thank you so much!
I hope you enjoy it, santee! (and post that you do, too)

So.
Today I sent my Santee his gift. It should arrive by next week.
In other news, I have received my gift from my Secret Santa.
My gift.
Houk! Hoooouk.
You are awesome.
From Houk, the most awesome person ever, I received a mainly robotically themed gift set.
I don't have a camera, unfortunately, so I will have to link to pictures already on the internet.
First, two Virtual On robot figures from the "One Coin Gaande Figure Collection". Similar to this, but GAANDE!! These are awesome figures, Houk! I have never played Virtual On, but I really love the aesthetic design of the series, and with these figures I'll try harder to grab a copy of one of the games. I love figures/models.
Second! More figures! A figure from another 'random' collection, a Viewtiful Joe collection! I have played Viewtiful Joe, although I'm fairly terrible at it!
Another figure from a 'random' Phoenix Wright collection. It's Mia. I can't figure out how to attach her to what I assume is her base, though, Houk.
Now that I've described the figures, onto the other things!
Two DVDs! One DVD is Robot Jox! A B-movie about giant robot fights! I remember Xieflow talking about how awesome the movie is, and now I have it! The other DVD is not robot-related, but good nonetheless! It's SNL: The Best of Commercial Parodies. I love commercial parodies. Either this is by coincidence or Houk has gone the extra mile in his stalking of me.
Lastly! An amazing book. I've been looking at this book as a different kind of Zombie Survival Guide (which I loved), and I've wanted to get it. Thank you, Houk! I can't wait to get into this book. This is a really nice book, by the way. It's constructed beautifully. It's very compact and feels very heavy for its size, and the edges of the pages are colored red, like a bible would be colored gold.
All of this was bound together by a cautionary note from my Santa, guiding me through the box I've received, urging me to rethink my love affair with robots. I am sorry, friend, but you've only make that bond stronger! Alas!
Houk, this was amazing. I am so glad that I participated in this, and I'm a little sad that I won't be able to match your gift with what I got my own Santee.
And yeah, it's actually by coincidence that I got the SNL thing. Cuz I was thinking, man what's good robot stuff? And the first thing that came to mind was the 'Sam Waterston selling robot life insurance' skit from SNL. So I went hunting to see if they had an 'SNL commercials best-of' and lo! they did. And everyone loves SNL, it's a law.
I'm really glad you like your stuff, because you have no idea how bad I wanted to keep everything I got you (except the extra figures, they were doubles :P). The robot book was especially classy, and I'll probably end up ordering the same thing for myself.
Also, holy shit that got there fast. I sent it out on Friday. And they said 8-10 business days. Instead it was, what, 2? Go US postal system!
Oh, and Robot Jocks really is hilariously bad. CRASH AND BURN!!!
Whelp santee, just checked on the status of my gift and it is still making its way to you. It should be there by the end of this week or, at worst, the beginning of next. I really shouldn't even type this, actually, as you have no idea who you are. Well, damn.
Glad you like the stuff man.
EBA was the main gift, but I wanted to throw something extra in. Working in a videostore has it perks after all. I figured you would like Serenity since I saw you were into Sci-fi, and just threw in Kiss Kiss and Kung Fu because they're two of my favorite movies that are lesser known.
I would have thrown in Shaolin Soccer, but we didn't have extra copies. If you like Kung Fu Hustle, definately track it down though.
Yeah, that rox Houk. Here I and most everyone else were expecting a whole bunch of cool NIS swag, but you had to throw a totally awesome cureball.
When I saw the name on the box I felt like I won the lottery. Even if it wasn't swag, this is probably better.
I actually had a lot of swag lined up, but in my research all I saw was that you were into robots, and the Wii. And i didn't wanna send you swag for stuff i wasnt sure you were into.
t drizzt - i actually picked that up while i was in japan for the tokyo game show. I got it from this totally badass toy store called Yamashiroya (right outside the Ueno Station, if youre ever in japan). It's 6 floors of collectable badassery. I bought an entire box of em. The Phoenix figure is lawyerly sex

I haven't really played any of the NIS games, so your decision was probably for the best.

One, apparently my pictures didnt get posted up so here they are again. Once again thanks! Its an awesome gift. DVD's (which the menus are all in chinese by the way so its a learning experiance as well! At least the content is english), a load of art work and a weird little key ring thing
Two, my gift wont be ready for the 31st so I did a hatch job until then to stay inline with the rules, Santee, you'll be getting a little something through the post in about 4 days but your real gift will be with you early 07.
All of my stuff is away, the Sanatee should get it soon. Hopefully before Christmas but I am unsure about mailing times between Alaska-Canada. We'll see....
I'm eagerly awaiting to see what arrives in the mail. I got a huge fucking package with "from your secret sanatee" but it was for someone else and I was all bummed out.
And fuck that Transformer gift is so awesome. Goddamn!
I believe its all of the series in one as there are 14 disks. I havent had chance to watch through them all yet but the first disk is great, its a bonus disk full of extras and points out lots of errors with the cartoon series art wise and even some rejected material.

AWESOME
Things might be a bit corny at first, I mean it's the 21st century now, but things pick up in The Key to Vector Sigma.
Other favorites of mine are Triple Take-Over, Trans-Europe Express, Starscream's Brigade, Revenge of Bruticus, Call of the Primitives and, of course, The Return of Optimus Prime.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ugh. DHL is the worst. They lost 2 Dell monitors I was shipping back and it took 6 months to get the money.
I've had to work wayyyyyyy too much...

It's coming. Allow 5-6 days for delivery.
- My package is now out (without a note, doh, but it's semi-obvious why I bought why I bought.) as of yesterday.
- I received my Santa's package yesterday as well! Lavaknight, you rule. Pictures to come when I'm not swamped with finals.
Yay! Glad you like them! Good luck with the finals, man, I'm in the same boat.
Someone around here should be getting his present TODAY!
Ho-ho-ho!

I will begrudingly accept any spare swag.

You have to admit, UK and Aussie TF releases get better packaging than the US.
