It's a blast from the past. I was trying to point out that it's possible it won't live up to your childhood memories. It certainly didn't for me. Who hasn't watched the TV series at one point? :)

Whoever is my Santa, reveal your self!

You are a fucking awesome person and may crown yourself King of Awesometopia and stand on top of a flying mountain of gold and proclaim all that you see your Rapedom.

I just got my package in the mail and it contains THREE Neil Gaiman books; the first three volumes in the Sandman series. For those not in the know, I have not read ANY Neil Gaiman and I was wanting to correct this problem. This rocks and I'm so excited to start reading.

I dunno if that's the entire Sandman series, but you've got yourself some really good reading there, Talonrazor.

I collected the whole series month by month as it originally appeared. Good stuff.

    Goddamn do these look awesome.

Whoever got me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Inventory:

A Prinny fleece cap. :D I've really, really wanted one of these - my Prinny plushie is wearing it right now.

A bag of sponge candy - I can't enjoy it right now (biiiiig canker sore), but I assure as soon as that's gone I'm going to dig in.

A bunch of tasty, tasty suckers.

Zombie Survival Guide. Almost picked this up at Borders the other day, now I'm glad I didn't. :)

And last, but not least, a HUUUUUUUGE print of Todd Lockwood's Silver Dragon picture. Absolutely outstanding - it's going to go very well with my other dragon posters. Thank you again!

I just want to say that everyone that participated in this thing is awesome. Lot's of quality gifts, and it's just mindblowing that people put effort into gifts that for many are just strangers.

I can feel the love people.

You're welcome! I'm glad I went with the Prinny hat, and not the Etna PVC model, as it looks like you already have one! Just be careful with that hat, throwing it around and such. I love the wings on the back of it.

If you enjoy the ZSG, don't hesitate to pick up World War Z which is mentioned frequently in this thread. It rocks, hard.

And you have no idea how hard it was waiting for the Lockwood print to arrive with all those Parkside suckers sitting right next to the computer for like two weeks. I did not eat a single one. :winky:

No really. I didn't. I bought a couple extras for myself!

Awesome! Many more thanks to you. :D

An amusing addendum - I received a note in my mailbox that I had a package to pick up downtown at the main post office. Now, I don't have a car, but I do have a bicycle...

Biking uphill for a mile while balancing the package on my handlebars only made the contents inside that much more worthwhile. :D

    Wow... great gifts, guys.

I bought my first gift tonight... hopefully I'll have it all put together & ready to ship by the weekend.

First I enjoyed looking forward to something showing up for me in the mail. Then I enjoyed the hell out of spending a night reading through WWZ. Now I get to enjoy trying to pick some unique & fun gifts for a stranger. This is the thread that just keeps on giving...

Man, so I thought... FedEx wanted $250 to ship my package to its Santee in England. UPS wanted $225. I went with the good ol' USPS for a modest $50. It should still get there before Christmas, if just barely. In short: big business is holding Christmas hostage! D:

    YAAAAY! Mission accomplished!

From what I could cull from your posts, I was at a loss for what might interest you except for Wii stuff. I was a little afraid you might already have the controller, but I'm glad it worked out.

The Pocky turned out to be a last minute addition. I felt the controller and points card seemed a bit naked, so I threw those in, too.

Merry Christmas, Graviija! It was a pleasure being your Santa!

I propose not acknowledging gift receipt by the 31st should also be a SUPER-PERMABAN!!!

Hmm, on Dec 31st we should all gather with torches and burn the houses of the unresponsive. We have their addresses, after all. It will be the best New Year's Eve ever!

(Also but seriously, it's a hectic time for a lot of folks. I, for one, will be visiting family and away from my home address from the 20th to the 1st, so if I don't get my gift by then I will be one of the unresponsive!)

From the frozen throes and igloos of Ontario, Forar made my entire December with his perfect gift of Break'em All for the DS.

By perfect I mean exactly the game I've been meaning to get, not only for myself because I'm old enough to fondly <3 BreakOut from way back in my Atari days, and secondly because my daughter will absolutely dig this game now that she's taken over the DS as primary entertainment.

    [pics coming soon]

Forar, thank you kindly, and I hope you have a great Christmas :)

    ----

Oh, and to my Santee: I haven't forgotten about you, don't worry. Life has been more than hectic for me the past month or so, but I'll be shipping goodies out next week, ASAP.

Last week, I got a book by one of my idols, Thurston Moore.

    summerguide_05_coffeetable_mixtape.small.jpg

After grinning like an idiot for a while, I logged on to express my undying gratitude to my Santa, only to learn -- shock!! -- there was more on the way.

    722157_lg.jpg

My Santa totally fucking outdid himself and sent me a goddamn robot dinosaur. It's over two feet long, and it terrifies my cat. Moreover, he included batteries in the box! What a class act.

A++++ GREAT SANTA, WOULD LEAVE COOKIES AGAIN, ASSET TO PENNY-ARCADE!!

Meanwhile, my Santee's present should be going out Friday. After getting the order ready, it crossed my mind that he seems to be quite the connoisseur and might have this title already. If that's the case, I certainly won't be offended if he pawns it off on a friend to get something else, but hopefully this game slipped under his radar the first time.

. The unusual package size alone made the trip to and from the post office worth the secret exchange buzz. The bounty that was found insisde this "almost crate size" thing was impossible to expect.

Weaponry, Snowmen and Cyborg Wolf interfaces. All of it USB friendly.

Worthy pictures to come very very soon.
