It was fun in the early days as Ramius said. For whatever reason it slowed down and unfortunately the new writers and adventures couldn't keep it going probably because of lack of readers. Thanks to everyone who participated on both ends. It was a great idea.

Oh Lord....if you DO get rid of CYOA and everything in it, for God's sake save my guide to NatP...it took me hours to write that thing and i don't want to do it again.

I'd reccommend you save out the threads just incase. We can all still read that forum

I ran it past the chat mods and they were cool with giving you a chance to run it out of SE++.
I will give you powers in there to do the polls and lock threads. Of course, if you start locking threads you are not supposed to, there will be hell to pay, but you knew that.
I don't know what to do about the back story. If you want a summary or something thrown in the chatlog forum so you have something to point the newcomers to, that will be doable.
well you could rule out those who were inactive and those who have proven themselves to be both irresponsible and who show a general disregard for the rules
The problem is that not everything goes into forum logs, so if one mod-let makes a bad lock there's no way to figure out who did it unless they confess.

just munkus beaver at this time.
If his story does ok in SE, then we can see about having someone else run a different story after his is done. But we're not going to have multiple going at a time.
it was a neat idea. I want to thank ramius for every one the opertunity to run it and all the story makers for there hard work. It is a shame it did not work out.

since the CYOA was what of 2 pages i didn't think about it. i was writing while i was sick and making up school so i didn't have time to think about it. in retrospect though, i was a dumbass.

I wouldn't think it was worth while backing up the data for the forums.

yeah, the auto-prune was set to 42 days, which is an eternity as compared to most of the forums, but obviously short enough for you to lose the whole beginning of your story. I guess I didn't think when it started off that stories would persist over more than 6 weeks.

Replace all references to SNK with CYOA...and yeah, its a lame crossreference but it was what popped into my head when I saw munkus shed a single tear.

i think i mistyped that. i need a place to put the guide. and should i put each installment as an annoucement or normal thread?
Do normal threads. The mods will try and support you by asking people not to hijack your threads to hell, but if they do...them's the breaks, kid.
You can put the guide into the Chatlogs forum.

I dont know if I speak for everyone, but it seems that quite a few people, myslef included, feel that NatP does not bleong in SE++. Was there any reason it couldn't have gone in EE?
Hell, even Munkus complained that the SE people weren't taking it seriously. EE is a bit more serious and accepting about things. Any reason it couldn't be there?

CYOA grew out of SE. So it was logical to put the reminant back there. I think it would work in SE if we didn't have an option to kill our only lead
But you can tell that most people are not happy with this whole situation. Why not try it in EE, it cant be any worse than it is now.

meh.
I suppose it could be given a week trial in EE, but I think it is just as dead as CYOA itself.
but sure, go ahead and punt it over to EE, and I can transfer mukus' special rights over there.

i say move it to AC because thats where i know my place best, and the people there would not hijack it or change the course of it at all.
i do agree that it isn't doing well in SE and i don't think it should be continued there anymore. if it can't be moved, well...i'll try to continue it in a different format and de-modlite myself
