The CW is developing a series based on Batman sidekick Robin's pre-Caped Crusader days, reports Variety.
"Smallville" executive producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson, as well as "Supernatural" executive producer McG, are behind "The Graysons," which has landed a put pilot commitment at the network.
Just as "Smallville" focuses on Clark Kent in the years before he became Superman, "The Graysons" will follow the world of Dick "DJ" Grayson before he takes on the iconic Robin identity and aligns himself with Batman.

In the one-hour "Graysons," which will be set in modern times, young DJ will face challenges involving first loves, young rivals and his family as he grows up. Souders and Peterson have come up with an original take on the character.
do they really expect people to be lining up to see a thor movie?
Iron Man did pretty well so they probably believe that it could do just as well
This.
The idea of an Iron Man seemed really stupid, but Marvel did an amazing job with it so I'm behind them 100% on just about anything they're willing to try. At least until they release another horrible movie.
Ironman was pulled off because RDJr. IS Stark. It was his performance that sold the whole film.
I support the idea of this movie, if only because it helps set up the avengers movie that RDJr. will be in.

This sorta makes my head hurt
That sounds amazing.
Everyone just waiting to see when his parents get murdered.
Spoiler alert.

watch as young DJ juggles school life with his hectic travelling circus schedule
I was gonna say, how are they gonna make a tean drama about a kid that lives in a circus? Also, isn't Dick like, 12 or something when his parents get killed?

obviously, they're going to ignore all cannon, and basically just make a cookie-cutter teen drama, with the "hook" that the kid's name is DJ Grayson, and that other characters have other names that are the same as comic book characters

Well that should go over like a sack of lead.

Iron Man and Batman work because you want to see the guy behind the suit just as much. Tony Stark is fascinating on his own, so is Bruce Wayne.
Spider-Man did this too. They just failed somewhere during the second movie and carried into the third film.
Hulk as the threat makes sense with the scene where Stark comes to Ross about his "problem"
I understood that to imply that once the team is assembled they'll try to contain Hulk in exchange for some sort of military favor from Ross or something
I know he's obsessed, I just wonder you know as if he ever has to go pull a tour in Iraq or something and is all hanging out in his command center all marking days off a calendar all "87 more days Hulk that's all the time you have."

and then Bush extends everybody's tours again and Ross throws a hissy fit
I'm watching it now and Stark clearly tells Jarvis to build the Mark III using the gold-titanium alloy from the Seraphim tactical satellite
but the version of the DVD that they sell at Wal-Mart included this little mini comic book (which, FYI, is not very good) that follows what Nick Fury and SHIELD were doing during the events of the movie, and according to that, the metal in the suit is a prototype or offshoot of the metal used in Captain America's shield, which Stark's father had worked on and some files were still in Stark Industries' database
I'm unsure as to whether or not the comic fits the movie canon but this seemed confusing to me
I don't know, the most I ever saw was when I delivered a pizza to someone's house and they had to find their purse. I'd take a super-robot villain, though. They pretty much established AI with Jarvis.
The Ant-Man movie probably isn't going to happen, Wright's busy with Scott Pilgrim and Marvel didn't include it in their renewed distribution deal with Paramount.
He's weak against magic and Thor's hammer is partly magic based
No, Superman simply has no defenses against magic, like a normal person. Mjolnir's enchantments don't do anything to him, since they're only there to allow it to manipulate energy and such, and not break ever. They're not offensive, just passive, unlike, say a spell to turn him into a frog. That would affect Superman like it would affect any other person. But a fireball spell wouldn't hurt him any more than any normal fireball, since it's just fire, albeit fire that was created magically. Now, if that fire was enchanted to actually magically burn stuff, Superman would be affected by it.
Superman's spewing blood because he got hit in the face by an indestructible hammer thrown by a guy who is just as strong as he is.

that's, uh
that's a fairly strange tangent to take things on
uurrrrrrgh

Did you get the one that came inside of an Ironman face?
Because that's the one that I got, at target.
It was 27.99 (Bluray)

Green Lantern is set to start shooting in spring.

Secret Satan 2013 Wishlist
They could kick it old school and have Loki be the bad guy.
Maybe Baron Zemo and/or Red Skull?
I'd say it's a little early for Ultron, although he would be perfect for a sequel. I love Kang but time travel is probably a little too wonky.

Come again?
Well, I'm sure someone saw it.
I mean, I guess they're working on one but I haven't heard if they're tying it into their current Avengers arc thing
Even better if it is Starktech gone wrong.
make it happen, Marvel.
I foresee problems with this project
