I'm still surprised they did one here. It must be all the california in us. And maybe they wanted to go gambling.

So what are these cog tag necklaces on eBay? Not the hueg one, but the pre-order necklaces? Anyone know anything about em? They're cool, but eBay has em as kinda expensive.

I got one off of Ebay I didn't pay to much for it I got a "Buy it Now". I still have it in the package it's pretty nice though, its metal at least. Not as cool as the cogs being hidden around the world though.

Mother fucker. My sister and I went to LA today to take care of some business. Stopped off in Universal City Walk and had 4 hours of daylight.
Heres the post I made about it on gears forums.
Greetings from LA City Walk team.
Well we searched for a good 3-4 hours. Covered the entire perimeter of that large building and the building surrounding it. Both levels. Up and down. All 9,000 planters.
Another group of kids showed up, they gave it an hour before they were over it.
We literally checked every spot in the area at least 3 times over.
There was one spot with two gigantic roman esque pillars that toally reminded me of gears. If there was a good spot for one, that would be it.
Anyways, I am a pretty damn tall guy so I covered any high spots that could have been missed.
My sister is a pro at this kind of stuff and she couldn't find it. Damned proud of her though, she's more of a casual fan, but she really trucked through this like the real deal.
So no planters, lights, balcony, primary building, surrounding buildings, bathroom, back area entrances, etc.

One thing I did notice was that staff keeps the place in pristine condition. No hedge is overgrown and no trash is left on the cement for long. I asked a staff for a lost and found to no avail. I really suspect it was taken by staff, this place is just way too clean.

Anyways, I had a good time looking, got some Famous Pink's Hot Dog's in Hollywood and called it a day when it finally got too dark.

Thanks for all the help Waldo. You were a huge help!

LA tag can go to anyone now, I am washing my hands of this abomination! Mwahahaha

In short, nothing, nada, crapola. Oh well, having the chance to get one was fun enough, it was a pretty nice day out today too.

Well, I don't even know if it's still there. There's 2 other people who live/work within SF who have been by (construction was going on when they went by as well, so no dice on getting in).

My guess is that after the marathon on Sunday (apparently 20,000+ women participating, holy crap!) they will destruct the marathon village. I will either try to swing by before work on Monday morning or after work Monday afternoon and just hope for the best.

I imagine it'll be the last local one, since there was the AT&T park one before that but it got picked up fast.

Six Okay (community manager over there) says that one is still there and posted a hint picture. But says something like "it won't be for long" or something along those lines. Some of the guys at Epics forum think it got thrown away with all the marathon stuff going on.

This has been confirmed by mulitple sources. You don't need a swashbuckler to answer that one.
    And yes, its something like
    10 cogs = Kim
    Kill raam = raam
    something for carmine

I can't remember all of them.

Pretty sure there isn't more. Buddy doesn't have the balls to take it online, I don't blame him. Anyways,

    Hammerburst = awesome sauce
Everything has the chance to headshot an NPC, so I can't tell if it actually headshots or not in MP.
The zoom is spectacular, and the kick is pretty tough when you manually fire shots. The beauty of it though is in close range you can down someone as fast as you can mash that trigger. Real nice.

Also you can't enter and exit out of cover insaneley fast anymore, sliding around the map. There's like a time delay after your initial jump into cover before you can jump out of it again. This isn't noticeable when playing the game normally, but if you were a shotty slider then you are going to have to readjust tactics, bucko.

Wow. Between that and weapon stopping power, it sounds like they found a way to make MP actually FUN. Can't wait to get my hands on this. Too bad I'll be waiting a while, as I just recently started playing Gears 1 again, and I just bought Dead Space yesterday. I shouldn't have even picked up Dead Space, considering how much cash I dropped on RB2 recently.
