I'm thinking about getting dressed up as Dr.Horrible, but i can't seem to find a shoulder buttoned lab coat anywhere. does anyone know what they are specifically called and if there is any place online i can order one?
also i might need the goggles too, i think they are welding goggles. i have ones that look very similar i just need to spray them and add some camera filters for that extra piece on the front.

I will be wearing it down to orlando and it is very awesome.
This was made by me from scratch. Materials included
2 plastic flower pots
2 tap lights
about 30 sticks of hot glue
7 yards of fabric
2 sheets of house insulation
1 roll of ducktape
I suffered a minor cut and a severe burn to my leg as well as multiple lacerations to my fingers (box cutters are sharp)
all in all i am very happy with the final product. I am going to wear it and a red pinstripe suit to all the fancy clubs down in orlando on the 31st!

It wasn't that hard to make though I bet you could do it if you tried. The materials all total only cost about 75$
If you really want it though let me know and I would consider selling it after halloween.

Does anyone know how to get that effect of making your teeth all black? I can't really find any pictures (I guess I just don't know how to search properly), but it's kind of the effect you see in a lot of zombie movies or those American versions of Japanese horror movies where the ghost opens it's mouth and the teeth have black stuff all over and maybe they've got black lipstick on or something.

Any ideas for dressing as the LHC?
I'm going out with my niece & nephew (both under 4), so it's really just for my own amusement, but thought it'd be fun.
So far I've got:
-long sleeve shirt with "Size: Large" written on the back collar, and was thinking of just some aluminum foil coiled around my waist or something?

I looked around local stores and thrift shops but nothing! I have also been looking online a lot, but maybe someone on here knows something I don't.

Based on the costume research I did for my boyfriend last year, I was sure Waldo didn't actually wear a sweater, but a red/white rugby shirt (you know, with a collar.). Google image search did NOT support my theory. There's actually a pretty huge seeming Waldo impersonation flashmob group that uses the Stanford rugby shirt as their standard. In any case, the shirt's a lot easier to find than the sweater. The hat, on the other hand, was harder to find.

oh awesome, thanks. i was thinking about doing the 'stun/death' ray, i need to see if i can get a cheap toy gun and spray it. also i need to find out how to dye welders gloves. most of them look like they are leather.

What are you using for a beam katana? My first thought was a fluorescent light bulb - if you do that, be careful of it breaking.
I'm just using the hilt of a SW lightsaber. Close enough right? I'm just hitting up a few college parties. A friend of mine is going full out Beam Katana construction by taking the SW Force FX Lightsaber and welding a small metal rod down the bulb.
