I hate stealing heals as a sorc, but I don't have many options. We've got the double whammy of being a priority target (if Order has a brain, which isn't always) and hurting ourselves to put out our damage. I wish there were a more reliable source of healing pots for me.
Are there any animals that consistently butcher into healing or resto pots? Seeds are, as always, an absolute crapshoot.
If you just want heal pots, scavenging + apothecary is probably the way to go. Leeches and some ticks make heal pots. Almost every humanoid will scavenge into leeches at a decent rate, but if you want a lot look for beastmen (Gors or Ungors). The ticks that are not used for heal pots make AP pots, which are also extremely useful. And of course, scavenging also yields the waters for apothecary.

When the artifact starts damaging me a lot,I make it a habit of running in to the fray and trying to take down as many guys as possible and then die a glorious death.

I usually do that when it's like 240-430 or so.
or you could do the smart thing and back up, tell your team to stop healing you and to have someone ready to grab it when you die
I would also like some fist shakin' for the Shaman / Archmage AP drain spell disparity.
id consider trading you for the eeek! wind funnel disparity
I would take that trade. The cone on wind funnel is very small, and it usually won't blow someone off of you (example - a witch elf clamps onto your ass, you face them, the spell fails).
I wish some of the classes were easier to distinguish visually. Sometimes it feels like 80% of the Destruction team are naked purple females.
Admitting that you have difficulty telling naked purple women apart on the field of battle is the spiritual equivalent over a fat sack of cash and landing in a pit full of milk chocolate scorpions.
Speaking of character outlines, is there anyway to select a character on the selection screen besides clicking on them? Dablocka is doing a great job preventing me from accessing 2 or 3 characters that are determined to hide behind him.

I do that when I'm with guildies.
But I hate boring games and when I'm in a PUG and we dominate like crazy,I like giving the other team a chance.
Correct, this was the lord. But I didnt think he looked quite as cool.
Oh god, not that damn PQ in that damn super dungeon.
In beta it was nearly impossible to complete even with a raid. I hope to dear god they fixed the trolls because fighting a lord + 20 champion trolls at once? NOT FUN
On a slightly different topic, if you were playing since OB, or headstart, did you re-install the game when you got the retail boxes in? Any improvement? I have the headstart/beta client and I haven't decided whether to re-install.
I don't have the videos of course, but I've already see them so are there any advantages to going retail client?
Thanks for your time.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Not that I'm aware of.
It would be nice to be without the videos.
Do you still have two notices to click off on, or just the one?
Only the one, but that was from a recent hotfix I thought. I don't need to scroll down anymore to click accept either.

The two pure mDPS classes for Destro are Marauders and Witch Elves. The WEs have less defense and higher burst DPS while Marauders have a more even mix of the two. There are also Disciple of Khaines whom do good mDPS and are healers, they are honestly a ton of fun. In all three cases you can chose one of three masteries to further specialize.
What does Cultivating do for Apothecary? I've already picked up scavenging just for funsies, if I can actually make potions without messing around with seeds and junk that'll make me a happy guy.

From scavenging you get plenty of water (stabilizer) and occasional main ingredients. Butchering and cultivation gives you main ingredients, but no stabilizers. You CAN do it with just scavenging and apthecary, but you'll probably want to get with some cultivators and such.

I'm getting to the point where I really need stabilizers to brew any potions that aren't volatile. I'll have to look on the AH but it's really hard to find stuff unless you know the exact names. Their sorting options are beyond useless.

I reinstalled from the DVDs and got improved performance. My beta directory was several months old though, and had ballooned up to 15+gb. A fresh install is around 10gb. I'd recommend a fresh install. If nothing else, the huge .myp data files should be less fragmented.
If you reinstall from the DVDs, you can still disable the videos by renaming the video.myp file.

Can you make potions with just butchered ingredients, or do you need the waters from a scavenger?
Cultivation is a pain in the ass. To do it well, you need nutrients from butchers, watering cans from scavengers, and then apothecary water from scavengers when you want to actually make potions.
i dont know why everyone hates ont he magus i mean last night we were taking the entire order realm in serpents passage and grinding them into dust in like 10 seconds flat

You get lots of main ingredients from scavenging. Leechs being the main, then lots of others depending on what your fighting.
And I have yet to be able to create a potion without water, and I'm up to 95 apothecary I believe.

Yeah, the lack of stabilizers is really annoying -- I've got hundreds of plants now and can't make any pots because stabilizers are so rare through cultivation.

oh god, i'm stupid, i mixed up butchering and scavenging again!!!!!!
i apologize...i am a scavenger....i get both waters and mains....i can make potions just from those although to make them less sucky it helps to buy other ingredients
man, i wanna try out ironbreaker now, accualt, so I can kick people in the dick.
yeah but like, 2 minute queues. order. ironbreakers.
Yeah I bet that's really nice. I play destruction on Volkmar though, which is actually pretty well-balanced. I'm also on the west coast, which means I don't run up against the login queues very often. So it works out.
edit: also thanks for the tradeskill learnin'. I'm going to regret vendoring all those leeches and ticks and waters I got while leveling scavenging

That title is "world shapper".
I hope that's intentional.

For shame.

If it's a mostly naked purple woman, you can kill it.
If it is a not naked purple woman.
Grab a chair, gets some popcorn.
It's gonna be a long fight.
You forgot this.
If the naked purple women have knives and your a caster of some type bend over and grab your ankles.
Often 80% of the Destruction team is a sorceress(er). So... that's pretty accurate.
If the president had any real power, he'd be able to live wherever the fuck he wanted.
