How do I make sure that my Live subscription doesn't auto-renew? I tried to modify the membership over the dashboard today and didn't see the option.
Also, are any of my fellow Bees comic book readers?
Stopped reading when I stopped getting my 30% discount from my last job...selling comics. What's up?
edit: go to xbox.com, sign in to your account, then manage account/profile. It should give you the option to change which plan it auto-renews to.
I've been reading Walking Dead (halfway through Vol. 2), Ex Machina (I've read the first two), and Y: the Last Man (finished Vol. 1) after getting hooked on them by a friend and borrowing the collections as he finishes them.
But they've all finished, or are old news, so I guess it doesn't count.

Sure they count. Hell, I'm reading through Crisis on Multiple Earth trades that includes stories from the 60s and 70s (I'm a huge DC fan).
I LOVED Ex Machina, though I've fallen behind on them. I have the issues though so it's just a matter of catching up. I've found that I enjoy comics more if I ignore comic websites and stuff and stop trying to keep up on what's current, instead just reading at my own pace.
I love the Identity Crisis page. That was one of my favorite shots in the series. Favorite being Ralph holding Sue. I always wanted to get into collecting the original art for some of my favorite books, but it's too expensive of a hobby for my bank account. I'll stick to Transformers. Hope with the data entry work and the cash I've been putting back each paycheck that I'll be able to get a nice G1 haul at Wizard World next month.
And look at my fucking avatar. Of course I'm a comic nerd. Been meaning to shop together a spartan/elite helmet with the spider shades.

Yeah it's my favorite piece I own too. Rags is my favorite super-hero artist by far, which is why I have three of his pages.
Ryan Kelly is quickly becoming one of my favorite, his work with Brian Wood on Local blew me away. Fantastic book. I feel really honored that he took the time to do that Megan piece for me. Hopefully I can commission something else from him real soon.
EDIT: And yeah I should have known from your avatar. I have the Absolute Watchmen edition, such a beautiful book. All of the Absolute editions DC puts out are amazing; I have all three of the Absolute Sandman's released thus far.
As far as "super hero" artists go, I love Ed McGuinness. Also love Humberto Ramos' run on Peter Parker, Sam Keith (anything the man does), and Rob Schrab. I REALLY need to pick up the Scud Omnibus. Doug Tenapel's good, too. Loved Monster Zoo.
Finally got my Hal's armor in Fable 2, dyed it "cream" until I get some black dye to go for my goth achievement. Ditched the helmet for a highway man's hat and mask, though. I look like Master Chief Zorro.
EDIT: forgot to mention Josh Howard of the Dead @ 17 series. Not because his art/writing is super or anything, but just because he's a super cool guy. I gave him a $2 brush pen at 24 comic day, the next month at a convention I was selling my book/sketches at he gave me a full set of [email protected] and Blood of Saints autographed. Also helped me get my foot in the door meeting some of the bigger local artists/writers like David Hopkins and *shudder* Scott Kurtz.
I really dig Josh Howard's art, though I'm sad to admit that I've never read anything he's done; my exposure to his art comes mostly from preview pages and art online.
I've never met any writers or artists, probably because I've never been to a con, but Brad Meltzer and I emailed each other for quite a while before he even wrote his first comics. That was back when he was just writing lawyer fiction and such.
I also remember Brian Michael Bendis' wife sending me some signed Hellspawn lithographs in the mail, back before he got big, though for the life of me I can't remember ever even talking to Bendis online or even how or why I got those.
Bendis is over-rated, if you ask me. I tried to like Powers and Ultimate Spider-man, I just couldn't get behind them. Actually, I can't get behind any Ultimate title except for Ultimates, and I still need to read volume 3. I'd still probably read whatever Green Lantern story is going on right now if it weren't for not wanting to give the company I used to work for my money. The owner is a horrible old man that needs to retire before he runs his business into the ground. Every manager he gets in there that actually wants to take care of the employees as much as the sales gets treated like a Communist and is fired/forced to quit.
In fact, I got written up at one point for my signature on here due to mentioning that I worked for the company and then had a quote that didn't represent the company properly. It used to be an exchange between Batman and Robin;
Batman:"We can use the Lazarus pit to bring back my parents"
Robin:"What about my dad?"
Batman:"Fuck your dad."
I think Bendis is overrated to an extent, but his crime stuff is fantastic, and his run on Daredevil ranks high on my list of favorite runs ever. That being said, I don't read a lot of Marvel (hardly any), so most of the stuff he's written in the past few years I haven't read.
That sucks that you were treated that way. Seems like the guy took things way too seriously. I used to read around 40 titles a month, and I got them all online (got a nice 40% discount that way). Now though I'm down to just a handful of titles, and I pick those up at the LCS. Part of this is due to my switch to mostly trades. But I've always gotten Superman in monthlies, and probably always will.
Also he refuses to believe my mom is dead so here is the obituary so fuck you
cry some more
oh my god i am so sorry
I think you don't realize how fucked you are now. Making fun of someones dead mother?
Dude--
Karma pwned.
to be fair, i merely said a 'your mom' joke, didn't believe the standard 'my mom is dead' comeback, and so he posted that to prove he wasn't just saying it.
yes, my flesh will burn in the pits of hades for eternity. i regret noooooooothhhhhhhhhhhhuuuungggg
No, making it there makes it easier for more people to contribute/feedback without having to PM it back and forth and then when it's done i can just copy the post, bbcode and all.
Our participation would plummet if we moved off PA, as shown by the fact that only 2-3 people actually use tbkftw.
Sorry i haven't played with you guys in a while but i've been playing so much burnout, i can't remember the last time i had this fun in a racing game.
Also Far Cry 2

So Fyre, how much did you manage to get for Far Cry 2? I heard you were getting rid of it already due to the bad joysticks, as evident by your little video.
Also, turns out I have twenty bucks in GameStop credit laying around, so I might use it to get a points card after I finally finish up Otter's Pod Episode 1 and buy the second. Record Player Div!
Well my power went out for a moment and when it came back on Thrill sent me an invite. But, not knowing a whole lot about Fallout before buying it, I think it's pretty fucking interesting.
I always miss out on the haloing. I was on last night at about 10 and no one was on so I played a random social skirmish, decimated the other team with my team of FRENCH PEOPLE, and then played burnout on my PS3.

I actually sniped an Elite from behind, which I didn't think was possible.
It's funny because my stepmom is named Robin so this works even more
Anyway we should play (INSERT GAME HERE) right about now
