Words you are unlikely to see me post in the next pages of this thread: "X is off-topic," because I'm just going to warn you here. This thread is a bitch to keep up with and mod when it's on-topic, and impossible when people use it as a dumping ground for any political news story. If it's not directly related to Obama v. McCain don't post it.
Think it's really important, and still want to post it?
AND NO BLUE DOTTING!
OK? Glad we got that cleared up.
The rest of the article isn't needed because FUCK YEAH!

So anybody who knows how to really read the 538 data want to tell me what a good electoral vote over/under number would be? I'm trying to get a conservative friend to buy me dinner after the election....

I liked 538s thing today about visitng McCain and Obama HQs in Missouri.
We've observed no comparison between these ground campaigns. To begin with, there’s a 4-1 ratio of offices in most states. We walk into McCain offices to find them closed, empty, one person, two people, sometimes three people making calls. Many times one person is calling while the other small clutch of volunteers are chatting amongst themselves. In one state, McCain’s state field director sat in one of these offices and, sotto voce, complained to us that only one man was making calls while the others were talking to each other about how much they didn't like Obama, which was true. But the field director made no effort to change this. This was the state field director.
Bolded part is my emphasis.

That's the key chart for an O/U. Height of chart is frequency of a particular result, left to right is increasing number of EC votes for Obama. The average is 333 according to 538, but there's a pretty hard cap of like 350, 360 for Obama (because there are blood red states he just can not win) so try to get it below 300 if you can.
(bottom right graph)
So I guess the financial conservatives have already abandoned ship then? Only other alternative I can think of is that they're crazy paulites

Yea, I can just eye ball it but numbers would be easier. I didn't know just how much data they release.
She said she didn’t answer what periodicals she reads because she was “taken aback” by the question and saw it as Couric accusing Alaskans of not being “in tune with the rest of the world.”
She sure showed Couric by making more people think that.
She also apparently made up a quote she said was from Jefferson.
"Now I know what they meant," she said. "He did his best to convince us that the two most liberal members of the Senate belong in the White House. But that was a tough sell, and especially in a time of crisis for our country."
Are there any Democratic candidates that haven't supposedly been the most liberal Senator/Representative/Governor/etc.?

Yeah, they don't have much faith in our longterm memory.
I wish someone would actually challenge this comment once in a while.

All I'd have to do is post my picture as evidence against the hormone conspiracy.
I obviously have enough testosterone for 2 people.
I have enough for three. And a baby.
A hairy baby?
Excess testosterone actually causes you to go bald.
Stop injecting logick into this exchange, Zimmy.

The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.
Grah, I'm watching Larry King right now. They showed a little bit of McCain speaking about the debate last night, and swear to God, he sounded and looked like The Penguin from Batman Returns. He even moved like him.

The most recent was mentioned previously here, and he's in the "Why they were banned" thread in Tube's Circus. I'm not sad to see LondonBridge go. The other pro-McCainers here may annoy me at times but at least they make an attempt at a civil discussion.
And bringing it back on topic:
538: Since they are predicting how the election will turn out on Nov. 4th, is their model more or less likely to be shifted by changes in polls as we get closer to the big day?

Did anything spectacular besides that graph happen today?
LondonBridge got banned?
Whoa, what? Seriously?
Tube apparently got tired of him. And now he is gone.

Was the post-debate interview where Palin complained about the KC interview today or yesterday?
Today.
How'd he get banned? (just asking out of curiosity)
I think what pushed him over the edge was the post speculating that liberals "produce less testosterone" than conservatives.
Not even kidding.
Well it's a good reason. Had him on ignore for the past few weeks. Comes a point where you just can't stand the crazy coming out of his posts anymore.

Specifically, he was speculating that people are made liberal because of lower testosterone levels.
