And there is a huge difference between private and public law.

OJ thread. It's like "well, we just know he did it" which is a rather ridiculous stance.
And I really can't think of a single highly publicized trial where someone was aquited where people weren't angry at the result. It's like they don't give a shit if the person is guilty or innocent, they are famous or rich so they must burn!
What if OJ actually was innocent? I mean that is the reason why there are aquitals. To convict someone, there can be no reasonable doubt.

I particularly hate that when the media circus is in full swing and the trial hasn't even taken place, it's easy to make a social pariah of oneself merely by suggesting that someone who has been arrested is not necessarily guilty.

Personally, I wouldn't until HDTV broadcasts are mainstream (ie. don't cost £rape per month from Sky or Virgin Media), unless you're really into console gaming or you're buying a new tv anyway.
