That's right, the regular season of the NHL has already started, but the real shit goes down on Thursday, October 9th when the Detroit Red Wings hoist their 11th Stanley cup banner into the rafters of Joe Louis arena before they crush the toronto Maple Leafs in their season home opener.
Admittedly I did not watch must last season. I will try to remedy that this season (I mean, FSN Detroit carries like 70 games of the Wings, I have no excuse)
as a casual dude who looks at hockey in bars when he is there but at no other time, i like the wings. they are a classy bunch and not nearly as useless as the leafs.
I've never watched a hockey game outside of The Mighty Ducks (the movies) but apparently Aeros tickets are $31 for seats up against the glass in the middle of the rink.

Orik...
you live in Toronto don't you?
and you are praising the Wings?

To be fair though, the Leafs are the longest-running joke in hockey. So not liking them is merely a sign of incredibly good taste.
For me it's all about the Oilers, and after that I do enjoy watching either the Wings or the Habs. Beyond those two teams, though, it's all about ABC (anyone but calgary).
my dad is gonna take me to some games around my birthday
i gotta see whats available and where
i managed to see so many of the world hockey championship games when they were here in the spring. i was at the canada vs usa one where canada scored in the last minute to win. they were wearin the throwback jerseys
fuckin bought one of those jerseys right after the game

and players who could grandfather in not wearing helmets
So I may go a few times this year.
(i dont really know any of your yank teams, your wings and balls and ferrets and whatever you call them)
Let's go Wings!
XBox LIVE: Bogestrom | Destiny
PSN: Bogestrom
things probably won't turn out well between them and gaborik
a side effect of being from eastern michigan
So go wings
Now if only I could convince the local sports networks to carry all their games, no luck last season until playoffs
plus the wings suck
they are the evil empire of hockey
Are you trying to score points here?
Because that was a great statement.
And humble, you shut up.
