which "last scene" are you talking about? Jeane and the little girl at the museum, looking at the painting of Travis and Henry in combat, or the assassin and Travis?
Sylvia with the little girl Jeane at the end.
Is there significance in the cat, the sister, and the little girl all being Jeanes?

I have no idea.
I think Travis got so drunk after beating Helter Skelter (the guy in the intro movie, with the transforming gun arms) that he gave himself brain-damage or something.
Wouldn't it be awesome if you didn't get to fight octopus-lightsaber girl from the NMH2 trailer? Just so they can continue the tradition of having enemies that only appear in the storyline/trailer, but not the actual gameplay.
That would not surprise me at all. I don't see how Travis would possibly fight a jet-packed opponent anyway, unless there is going to be parkour or something really crazy.

Well, somehwere, it says (in the manual I think) that Jeane "was once the love of Travis' life" and at some point they were together. I think that he named his cat because he still he some feelings for who she used to be, before all the killing. And Sylvia probably named her because she resented playing Travis like that and wanted to do something to reconcile. Either that or Travis really did do it with Sylvia and shes his kid.
It is hard to make sense of Travis ohmanwtf reactions to Jeane if he supposedly was in a serious relationship with her at some point unless you extrapolate brain damage/memory muddling from his binge drinking after killing Helter Skelter. He was stupid drunk in the intro movie, when he meets Sylvia.
That jet pack lady looks nothing like Naomi. You can't even see her vulva area! You totally can see it in the manual and the character art. Still not sure how they slipped that past.

I'm extremely late to the party, I know, but... holy SHIT NMH is awesome. Best Wii game I've played yet. It's like Killer7, with a slightly more comprehensible story and controls that don't suck. Big to Suda51. (Yes, I am one of the people who really liked Killer7, flaws and all. It was a great experience.) EDIT: Before someone points it out, I'm aware that NMH is about Travis killing dudes with a beam katana, not being
a severely split personality who also kills dudes... but not with a beam katana
. Wait... they are vaguely similar, aren't they? :P
no, I'm real LTTP, but quick question about NMH1. I just picked this up last night, and beat assassin #10. I had heard about the story of the game, how travis wins the beam saber online and blah blah blah, but none of this back story was in game. Do they eventually show this stuff later on, or is the back story just that paragraph in the manual?

In the American version it is, apparently, just a paragraph in the manual. In the Japanese and PAL versions, it's a comic in the manual.

Oh my goddddd.
I saw the announcement on this on Kotaku a few days ago and thought it'd be a hoax or something. Lo' and behold! HEre it is! With a trailer! That i probably shouldn't watch while at work. Damnit I want to see this! Travis Touchdown!!!!!!
I can't wait for this to come out. My wii hasn't seen very much love lately, I've just been too lazy to do anything on my wii in the last couple of months except check the weather and news during breakfast.
A buddy of mine is gonna be Travis Touchdown for Halloween. He's got everything but really cant find any official NMH tshirts he could get to finish the costume up. Anybody got any good links?
Have him wear the ultimate Travis outfit - Pink sunglasses, Pure White Lover Bizarre Jelly jacket, belt, and pants, NO SHIRT.

There is a NMH clothing line out there somewhere (or there will be) made by Grasshopper Manufacture I guess, but they're a Japanese company and it'd be a pricey import, I think.
I suggest he just wear something approximate, like one of the many Pimpin' Ain't Easy shirts you can find out there.
There were a few different shirts released in Japan only, in tiny little Japanese nerd sizes, but aside from that there has not been anything. Travis does have a stinking beer shirt, so you could probably just wear a beer shirt I guess.
So, after reading this thread, I have to ask, how do you:
1) Darkside Dodge
2)Overcharge Death Blows
and
3) Slide your bike,
As I beat the game, and am doing a second playthrough now that I heard about the sequel, and have never (knowingly) done any of these things.
I haven't played NMH in a long time, but I think darkside dodge is pressing the control stick left or right just when you're about to being hit and sliding on the bike is pressing some button and swinging the remote to either the left or right.
Thanks. I'll try it out next time I play it. Oh, one other thing I just remembered.
How can you guarantee you stun an enemy? On that "kill only with wrestling moves" mission, I always do terrible because it seems like stunning happens by random chance, and I end up kicking the same enemy like 20 times and he doesn't stun.
PS the news of the sequel has convinced me there's a God of Video Games.

Holding the B button charges up your kick. Once it's fully charged, Travis will automatically execute the move practically guaranteeing a stun against regular opponents.
That is... if he doesn't get hit while charging up, obviously.
I want to say becayse you didn't read the manual, but I'm not actually sure how many of these techniques were described there.
I think only the bike slide is in the manual. Darkside dodge might be there too, or at least that it exists, but I didn't know how to do it until reading a thread here.

The punch charge is in the tutorial in the beginning of the game. I just kinda figured out Darkside dodging like halfway through the game on accident, same for bike sliding, though I could never really get it down perfect.

1) I do this by just rotating the joystick on the nunchuck like crazy whenever I'm blocking an enemy. It works out anytime there's a real opening for a darkside dodge (you need a short period between enemy swings to pull it off, so it doesn't work against really fast combos until there is such an opening.) I didn't know how to do this consistently until the Rank 2 fight.
2) What
3) Swing your wii remote while you're braking. You can also jump your bike by swinging the wii remote up.
HOLY CRAP YOU CAN CHARGE YOUR GRAPPLES?! Maybe I can finally get a medal on that fucking mission.
Also, now I too want to leap up and chop peoples' heads up. It's not a lovikov technique, is it? I recall one that I haven't bought yet involving a jump.

if this game is canceled or something, i'll hate you forever
that's really obvious, along with travis strikes back t-shirt he is wearing
She better not be, I like her.
So I'm gonna disagree with you on that one.

No idea about this overcharged death blow thing.
As far as I understand it, anyway.
Doesn't need to be like crazy; just in the same direction as your deathblow.

Either way, playing the tutorial tells you all about charging. Well, regular strikes and beat attacks, anyway.

It's not a finisher, with an arrow. He's just sort of fighting, then suddenly he jumps over the guys head and cuts it off.
I didn't even know it existed until my girlfriend accidentally did it a couple times on her first playthrough

was she using the final sword? Travis is like a ninja on speed with that sword.
