As an American, which of your candidates will take our currency rates back closer to $2 CAD per $1 USD?
You should vote for him.

I voted, and in just a little bit, I'll be seeing Alice Cooper.
Also, LTM, go eat a dick. Seriously, the best way to reduce the value of the Canadian dollar is to eat as many dicks as you can. Seem too hard? Country First, pansy.
I exercised my democratic right to complain bitterly about the government when it's elected.
Even though I would probably vote Conservative in another riding, I hate Rahim Jaffer in ways that words cannot describe. Fuck him. Right in the goddamn eye.

WOO just got back from voting for the first time. I was giddy, it didn't hit me until I actually put the ballot in the box. Hopefully it'll actually go towards something other than funding, voting NDP in my riding is almost guaranteed to not really do anything. Oh well, good to feel part of the process.
I saw a few people my age, people I knew. But mostly adults. Hmm. We'll see how it turns out later on I guess.
They had a peace treaty with the Liberals during this campaign, and a few days ago the Green party leader started screaming for everyone to vote smart and to vote for the Liberals if they had a chance of blocking Conservatives for a seat.
If they are very fortunate, they will get sort of close to a seat in B.C.
Dion is a dud and Gerard Kennedy is a goddamn nut for backing him during the leadership race.
Pretty much.
I vote policies, not parties (I voted Liberal in my first election, Conservative in my second and NDP in my third, though the latter was due to an extreme dislike of Rahim Jaffer), but I cannot in good faith vote Liberal so long as Dion is the leader. He seems like a decent fellow but as the leader of a major political party, he's terrible. He does not seem to have leadership skills at all.
I would've voted Conservative, as I like some of their policies (particularly the ones in regards to the military and justice system) but if I voted for Jaffer I think I would've spontaneously combusted.
I'm honestly quite tired of people suggesting that a vote for the Conservatives is somehow either uneducated or uninformed. Believe it or not, some people looked at the major parties, weighed their options, and decided that the Conservative policies that they agreed with outweighed the Conservative policies that they disagreed with. I'm extremely liberal when it comes to social issues such as gay marriage, or pro-choice, but I would have still voted Conservative were I in any other riding but this one.
Basically I'm saying dislike the Conservatives all you want. It's a free country and you're more than entitled to your opinion! But don't start badmouthing people who happened to vote in a fashion that you disagree with. I'd rather see five people vote in an educated manner that I disagreed with, rather than a hundred vote the same as me without any logical reasoning behind it.
I don't mind the conservatives getting elected by the people of canada but if they have another minority than why did we just spend all this money and waste all this time 2 years before the law said we should have an election?

This thread totally appeals to me.

way to go, canadian left
Every vote they get is another $1.95 in their pocket.
which they will use in the next election in which they will also get no seats but still siphon votes from the left further empowering the right wing
