So does anyone know if that "potion sickness" thing made it into the final build? Where you can only drink a single potion during a battle? (ie. 1 health potion or 1 mana potion)

Also, if you fully downloaded everything that was available for pre-download (1.17gb if I remember right), will you just have to install and sign in, or will there be more to download today when I get home from work?

No clue about potion sickness, but I can answer the other part. I have to download about 30 megs and a 300+ meg patch. I started the process about 7:10 and finished around 7:20 or so. Didn't take very long.

edit: That includes the install process which took a while.

Probably a tiny bit more, but the patch is 1.2, so you're close.

Yes, the potion change made it in, of course, it's a fundamental change they made because they don't want you having to chain drink mana pots or having to account for chain drinking mana pots.

Well...after that I needed another 380 some meg patch that I apparently already had most of so... maybe?

And after installing you get the new WOTLK login screen. It's neato.

you'll have another 0.02 GB (the final patch being 1.2 GB), and that will only take a few minutes. It's a pretty lengthy install, though.

    * Spell casting and spell channeling pushback has been changed to the following:
    o When casting a spell:
+ The first and second hit will add .5 secs each to the cast time.
+ All hits after the second will have no effect.
    Go go gadget Priest tonight

edit: now with the talents being changed in the patch, am I given a free respec or does it just elect for a "best fit" option as compared to my previous setup?

In other words, if I had all 5 points in Spirit Tap last night, do I now have all 3 points in Spirit Tap and both points in Improved Spirit Tap?

Well, they said 5pm EST (2pm PST), so.... carry the two.... we'll probably be respec'ing and gloating over our achievements / bemoaning our lack of achievements around 11pm EST (8pm PST).

I kid, they've gotten much better with this whole "patching" thing over the years, but between wanged servers and this massive a patch, I think it's safe to say that rushing home from work, while possibly useful, is just as likely to lead to sitting around waiting for them to pull some shit together.

I don't know if I ended up with enough materials for inscription, but my 3 herbing alts are parked at key positions around Azeroth to grab what I might need at a moments notice.

Hillarity: those poor gathering alts will likely do so as 0/0/0 spec until I can find the time to get them to a city and respec them. Sure I could do it out in the world, but considering I'm supposed to have a raid at 8, I'll likely spec the rogue and then work on inscription until raid time at 8.

We're supposed to hit Sunwell or BT, and honestly I'm kind of excited about either. New talents, supposedly increased DPS across the board for all classes, and vastly reduced mob/boss HP oughta make for significantly less glass chewing than I've become accustomed to.

    Edit:
edit: now with the talents being changed in the patch, am I given a free respec or does it just elect for a "best fit" option as compared to my previous setup?

You will log in as a 0/0/0 spec, and have to respec your character as you see fit.

I know, I am pumped by the spell pushback...even though it makes Barkskin slightly less awesome and special.

After all this time, I still am not seeing a huge point to taking inscription. All of the glyphs that I've seen are BoE, and it's not like they expire or you have a huge number of them to equip at any one time, so their usefulness wanes the moment you've equipped all of the glyphs that you can use with that character. What then is the point of taking the profession when you could simply buy all of the items you need? At least with most of the other professions there's enough BoP items in that profession that there's a real advantage to taking it.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. Right now the price for mats is going to shoot through the freaking roof, while the wilds are going to be absolutely barren of any herbs for a good long while. At the same time, with so many millions of Inscribers levelling and thus wanting to sell their stuff, they are going to go on the AH for next to nothing and I'll be able to buy whichever ones look good.

I'm going to hold off with Inscribing for later, myself. I'd rather focus on playing around with talent builds on all my chars and hopefully doing some content with the surge of people who are going to show up in anticipation for the xpac.
