so this weekend i went down to bellingham, a small town in washington, to see a friend. today she was showing me around the quaint little berg, and i saw something wonderful and terrible.

a gathering of the worst sort in a small field in the midst of a vast wilderness; rogues and scoundrels and hippies have come together to fight the battle of cornwall park

we stumbled first upon their hippy encampment and quickly regretted the path we had chosen

    ashland, oregon used to have some gatherings like this in the nice park there

    i went a few times some years back but i eventually grew out of it, and most of the crowd was getting way too young

    there's no fun in fighting a 13 year old kid. everyone just gives you dirty looks when you clock him in the head with a few pounds of foam.
